Amazing Host, Muito Obrigrado

Pros: Our host was amazing, we arrived late, after a hike in a storm, where the final section was blocked by a flooded river requiring a long diversion. Our host was very welcoming and booked a nearby restaurant for us (which was amazing & delicious). Our host also helped us get there and back, so that we didn't have to walk any further that day. There were mini heaters in the room that we could direct at our wet clothes to try and dry them. In the morning there was a breakfast platter that had been put together with great care, fresh fruit, cheese ham, cereals and 2 options of milk (milk or oat) and a coffee machine. When I went for the oat milk our host offered to warm it for me should I wish. She then asked if we wanted eggs and then made us a platter of scrambled eggs and bacon. Everything about this place was perfect for the end of 1 day hiking and the start on the next leg.

Cons: There is NOTHING I didn't like, but if you are not a cat person, then this place may not be your place, as there are three cats in the area who are able to roam around. (But I never saw anyone/anything other than our host in the kitchen!)

Pros: Perfectly clean and very comfortable room. Had everything we needed for overnight stay. Hosts were very helpful and made us very welcome. 10 min walk to town centre but on the road to the beach. Nice restaurant at the end of the road.. 5 minutes walk. Breakfast was absolutely amazing with so much choice.

Pros: The ladies running the business could not be nicer or do enough to help me as I was carrying an injury. Also the breakfast is awesome 🤩

Pros: Great Breakfast, a lot of local cheese, chorizo, yoghurt and fruts. The owner said, that good breakfast is impprtant before the walking tour at Rota Vicentina. There are so nice and friendly. Free water, tea and cofee.

Cons: Maybe they can repare the door in common bathroom.

Pros: Nice and very helpful staff. We felt welcomed and cozy. The breakfast was absolutely stunning and totally worth the money.

Close to the beach

Pros: Close to the beach. The room was okay with a nice balcony. Good breakfast

Cons: In the description it says that theres a restaurant and bar in the same house which is not the case. But theres a good restaurant nearby

Pros: very nice and helpful staff, clean and nice rooms. so many fun things to do around the area, great selection of things for breakfast. all around a wonderful place to stay

Pros: Large room, balcony for drying our washing, And the breakfast buffet was the best we have seen after 2.5 months on the road. Spectacular. While the room rate is a bit excy the breakfast made up for it. We were set for another day on the RV. Small mercado in the village that opens at 9am and is flooded with other hikers setting up for the day. Restaurant minutes walk away from the Casa.

Cons: Confusing to have 2 names Casa da Horta and Cato House. Once we figured it out, it was OK. Booking.com description needs to be overhauled for better accuracy.

Great stay. I had a room with a balcony getting afternoon sun. I’d stay again and recommend.

Pros: Owners very friendly and hospitable. The breakfast is amazing. Very clean. Great location for hiking Fisherman’s Trail. A bit out of town but restaurant a few minutes walk away. Easy walk to beach
