Kanela Guest House

Pros: Good location (shops, restaurants, cafes, beach, bus stop are close by) & well-equipped kitchen (you can only buy the coffee capsules in continente!)

Cons: Weak internet connection & no mosquito net in the livingroom

Pros: Excellent location with great amenities and safe parking.

Pros: The apartment was clean, well-equipped, and located right next to a beautiful beach. Peaceful surroundings, great for relaxing and taking walks. The host was very kind and helpful – everything went smoothly.

Pros: Excellent accomodation, plenty of space. Close to town although it's a steep road but it's madeira there's a lot of those

Cons: Apart from the taxi dropping me at the wrong address (nothing to do with the accommodation) , just that I tried to get a message through on the day to check in early and this wasn't seen.

Pros: Spacious fully equipped house with private parking, kitchen, living room and two bedrooms. Ten minute walk to the centre of Machico. Joao is very friendly and kind, ready to advice and help. Even prepared a welcome gift for us - bottle of beer and snacks, and a bottle of sparkling wine for New Year's Eve. Backyard of the house is a home to a bunch of very well mannered house cats.

Pros: It is real grandma's vocation hous. With exotic nature in you yard. Place is really big enought to play hide & sic))) funny cats will make you smyle everyday. And all this treasure is in a feau min walk from mane shopping street And maks 10min to the sea Kanella is a clean Place, Machico is a clean town and Machico sand beach is really clean and comfortable for small and very small children Ouner, Joao is very nice man and he loves his pets soo much💖

Cons: May be backyard is not very comfortable place for not very young people, but as I understood everything is in process now)))

AMAZING STAY ☀️

Pros: We had amazing stay, felt like at home ❤️, kitchen was amazing very well equiped, garden was our favourite place to stay, place was super clean and owner very friendly. Kanela guest house is 5 min walk to supermarket and to the beach and restaurants. You can park your car without problems. We highly recommend this place to stay. The best is of course sweet, cuddle cat we already miss about now 😻Thank you for amazing stay!

Unique Kanela Guest House

Pros: We stayed in three different places in Madeira this summer and Kanela Guest House was our favorite. Maybe humble like its owner use to say but made with love and well thought out. Everything was well prepared, we didn't have to ask the host for help he had kindly offered. We also loved meeting his adorable cats. So cute😍. The house is very comfortable. DIY-airy closets are a great idea for bedrooms in humid islands! Air circulation helps prevent clothes from developing musty odors. There is large independent and well-equipped kitchen with way out to the small backyard. Grill place. The important thing is that the house has its own parking place (to find parking place all over the island is a challenge) So, after hiking and trekking it's nice to just come home instead of driving around looking for parking, throw off your trekking clothes and just relax by the sandy or stony beach, whichever you prefer - Machico has both. Low-flying planes add to the beach unique atmosphere.

Cons: The yard is still being processed, needs more plants and even more skateboard decorations would be great. I'm keeping my fingers crossed🫶

Pros: Cozy and nice house with a large independent kitchen, a terrace with a pool and the owner's cats located a few minutes from the center, beach, shops. Parking possible in the yard. I recommend it to others as well.

Lovely apartment in convenient location.

Pros: The apartment was very clean and well decorated. For a couple, it was spacious, with a kitchen, bathroom and living room, in addition to a living room and an outdoor area. The location was good for us, close to the exit from the highway but within walking distance of the town for supermarkets (10 min walk) and restaurants (15 min walk).

Cons: At this risk of sounding like a terrible snob, I would have preferred cotton bedsheets. The bedding felt a little cheap and was uncomfortable. The apartment is at the top of a steep hill; my wife and I had no problem with the descent and climb to and from the town but it would not suit someone with a heart condition or mobility problems.
