The Jolie - Porto Moniz Central Studios

Great apartment

Pros: Lovely clean apartment Had everything we needed Nice patio Really responsive host

Comfortable and cosy

Pros: The host has provided beach towels in addition to the normal towels. Such an amazing gesture of care. Drying washing machine added so much value for the rainy days. You can see an ocean from the window. Kitchen is equipped with everything needed and even more (I managed to cook and serve a New Year dinner without any problems). It is an amazing place to stay. And so atmospheric.

Cons: During the storm the door to the terrase has made awful sounds, beating against door frame. It would be nice to install a thickener to soften the beating, to enable sleep during the unweather.

Pros: The studio was a great stay for a solo traveller like me. It’s clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, with useful facilities including a washing room and a reliable air-con/heater that made the stay very pleasant. The location is also a big plus – there’s a staircase path with direct access to the natural swimming pool, which was super convenient and enjoyable.

Cons: The only potential downside is that the parking is not on-site. This might be inconvenient for guests with a lot of heavy luggage, as you’ll need to walk a bit between the car and the apartment.

Pros: Perfect for a short stay. The host was very helpful and quick to respond. The host also left a really nice bottle of wine that was a welcome surprise.

Cons: If you don’t have transport, you might not like the hike up the hill from the pools to the property.

Pros: Everything was great! Be aware of the small space even for a couple! I recommend this place!

Pros: We felt very comfortable staying in The Jolie! The room was clean and fully equipped with all necessary household items. The balcony was really big and we enjoyed having breakfast while the sun was rising. The owner was really kind and very fast and helpfull in solving our needs. I am Defently recommending staying here and enjoying Porto Moniz!

Pros: Clean and cosy room which had everything we needed for a comfortable stay including air conditioning. Great location with free parking nearby.

Perfect for an overnight stay

Pros: The location is great and the free parking is only 100m down the road. The property is very well maintained and clean. The room we stayed in had everything we could possibly need. The space is small but well planned to fit everything. The washing machine was very handy in the shared space and we could hang our washing on our patio. Checking in was easy with the key in a secure box by the front door. The shower also had great pressure.

Cons: Our room was by the road and front entrance. Because we hike very early we went to bed at 10pm and was woken up a few times by noisy people talking in the road and at the front door which was 2m from our window/door. There is no aircon and only the patio door that tilts open to let in fresh air so we had no choice but to have it open as the space is very small.

Was relaxed. Close walk to the pool and quiet place.

Pros: The location close to the beach, to the shop with everything you need. Nice welcome message with all the info you need. Even a wine bottle waiting for us.

Cons: Nothing to be mentioned
