Simple but great.

Pros: The host is super friendly and let us check in 2 hours in advance, that was super nice. And you can freely access the garden and rest there.

Cons: Sometimes in October in Portugal some bedsheets or pillow cases don't dry fast enough and it doesn't smell that good in that case. It happened with a part of our bedsheet. But the rest was so nice that it was okay.

Great value and everything you could want for a stress free stay!

Pros: The room was super clean and the bed comfortable. I appreciated relaxing in Maria's beautiful garden after my day of hiking on the Fisherman's Trail. There is a Spar nearby and I loved my dinner at the vegetarian restaurant which was also very close.

Pros: The room was nice and well equipped, and the lady who checked us in was super friendly. The bed was quite large, and we had everything we needed, including a small fridge. She even left us a 1.5L bottle of water. Awesome!

Pros: Perfect location - we woke up and 30 minutes later we were already having breakfast at the cliffs/beaches area! A dream! Also clean, and the owner was so friendly - we were able to do a late check in, and she waited for us.

Home away from home

Pros: Very cozy and authentic place to stay. After staying few nights in the properties which were build to accommodate tourists it was very nice to stay in the real house and feel yourself guest at somebody's home. The inner yard with the terrace is amazing to hang out. Few steps away from bus stop.

Loved our stay, super well located and great room

Pros: Casa do Quintalao is super well located, 10-15min drive from all the cool beaches like Beliche, Castelejo, Salema, … the town is super local and quiet, which for us was great as we were trying to scape the touristy areas. The room was super clean and comfortable, a very decent size, and the owner is so lovely! The property has a very big and beautiful garden. We stayed for a full week and hope to be back next year!!
