Pros: The house was impressively clean, like we were the first to visit. It's just off the access road but remarkably quiet. We didn't have a car and were a little apprehensive but once you get familiar with the neighborhood shortcuts and the local bus schedule there were no worries.

Cons: Nothing comes to mind. There were so many positives that nothing could spoil it. The Islanders are so so friendly and approachable. The only fear I have is that we might have a job on our hands to book it again. Nice job Booking.com.

Great vacation experience.

Pros: Great location. More than enough space.Incredible view from the terras. Fully, but really fully equiped. Remote controlled gate and garage door. You drive without leaving your car, immediately in to the garage. And of course the wonderful swimmingpool.

Pros: We loved the size of the house, the views are fantastic. Very close to walks and the pool was definitely to have

Cons: Maybe a fan could be useful on the hottest of nights

Pros: The maison is wonderful, cleany, there is a beautiful view and also the pool. We fall in love in this house. Helena is very gentle and we spend unbelievable time here.

Great place to explore the island

Pros: The view from the new sun deck is wonderful. Ever-changing all the way down to the sea. Close proximity to great lavada walks. The kitchen is very well equipped. Plentiful supply of clean towels and bed linen. There is a pool now - unheated.

Cons: Bedrooms smelt musty/damp. Bed cramped and not comfortable. In hotter months a sunshade would be needed on patio area. We were OK as we had car but renters need to be aware that the property is a long way UP the hill from town.

Stay in Maison du Sol; it's a privilege!

Pros: The villa itself. The space and comfort. Ponta is also a beauty spot. The hostess had given us really good instructions and she let us check in earlier. She'd left a starter of coffee/ tea, a bottle of Madeira and some fruit. The house was very well equipped. Beds/ bedding of a high quality. Good, clear instructions of what to do in the house and where to get the bus, etc. The lizards in the garden were fun. Two minutes walk to the Levada do Moinho, one of the best in Madeira but you need to be good with heights and sure footed.

Cons: The shower was a little small. Peculiar smell in the ante kitchen. Fly screens would help. I was eaten by gnats.

Pros: L'espace, les commodités, le service et la gentillesse des hôtes. De belles attentions comme des bananes et du pain livré à la porte.

Cons: Un peu distant de la ville mais c'est un détail.

Absolut empfehlenswerte Unterkunft

Pros: Die Unkerkunft war super schön und sehr sauber. Es gab alles was man braucht. Die Aussicht war atemberaubend genauso wie der Pool. Mit den Nachbarn versteht man sich super. Außerdem liegt die Unterkunft neben einem schönem Wanderweg. Alles in allem absolut empfehlenswert. Die Kommunikation im Vorfeld verlief unkompliziert.

Cons: Die Betten waren leider etwas hart und unbequem. Trotzdem konnte man schlafen :)

Pros: Mooie grote schone woning met alles veel privacy. Alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig. Het is een vakantiehuis van een particulier die deze woning verhuurt aan derden. De (huur)auto kun je parkeren in je eigen garage. Mooi uitzicht over de zee en binnen 6 minuten ben je beneden bij de supermarkt.

Cons: -We waren hier in februari. 's avonds in de woning was het circa 18 graden. Dat vinden wij te fris om comfortabel gaan te zitten. Waar we in de woning ook hebben gekeken, een verwarming hebben we niet gevonden. Helaas ook geen elektrische (bij)verwarming, wat een eenvoudige oplossing was geweest. We hebben het opgelost door met z'n allen knus in de keuken te zitten waarbij we keramische kookplaat als verwarming hebben gebruikt. - De bedden waren erg hard (je moet er van houden)

Pros: Grosses Haus mit alles was man braucht inkl Schwimmbad
