Perfect house when when exploring this part lg the island!

Pros: Perfect house for basecamp when exploring this part of the island. House is big and roomy, especially for only 1 person like myself. Nice and modern. I would love to stay here again if I ever come back to Madeira. I felt very safe staying here. Very friendly host, who do everything for making your stay be pleasant as possible. Responding very quickly on messages. A lot value for the money staying here.

Cons: Had some problems with lizards and ants inside the house, but this is obviously a common problem in Madeira. I wish it was some heating in the bathroom in 2nd floor, and some more storage. The tiles gets really cold. In the toilet room in the 1st floor there is a heating oven, gets immediately more comfortable. Rest of the house get cold if not switching on the heating, but you must turn off when leaving the house, so it might be cold when you are coming back. Even though I was only 1 person, the hot water didn't last enough for taping water in the bathtub, water got cold, so had to wait a little and then it got again. Other than this, super happy with the stay here.

Perfect location to rest and explore

Pros: The house felt like a home! We really large amount of space in the house. With a separate kitchen and dinner/breakfast area downstairs . And a cosy living room upstairs with two nice bedrooms. The house is very well decorated. With a very nice terrace for warmer weather. One of the reasons we booked was the washer and dryer. It was the perfect home to explore the North/West coast of Madeira. We would gladly book again. Beds were very comfy too. Within a few minutes there was a lovely bakery, mini market and restaurant. The bakery was our favourite place Padaria Rodripan.

Cons: We loved it. No complaints, sometimes we struggled with hot water getting cold while in the shower. But nothing special.

Home away from home. Ridiculously good price for what is to offer.

Pros: This property has every last detail thought out. Washing facilities were a plus.

Pros: Amazing big house with everything you're looking for. Very clean. With terrace, barbecure house and big kitchen. Car is necessary to reach. Would definitely book again!

Cons: Fast cold water, no space to put the clothes in the bathroom (a chair would be great)

Great place to stay at Porto Moniz

Pros: Everything. Very well equipped modern property, comfortable, spacious, peace and quiet yet 10 minutes from town. Highly recommended.

Cons: The house has a comprehensive and helpful Information Booklet: to which I suggest the following be added. 1: The microwave and hob will not work until you disable their electronic child locks. A simple instruction notice about this would help. 2: The sophisticated electric room heaters seemingly will not operate until programmed (needed each time they are plugged into the wall). There needs to be instructions about this. 3: Always use the rubber Non-Slip mat when showering. The tiled floor is so level it does not drain; so remains very slippery (eg for the next shower). OWNER - PLSE BUY A RUBBER NON-SLIP MAT. Thx

Didn’t want to leave!

Pros: Everything! So much space - small details taken care of like laundry and coffee. Such a beautiful place. Didn’t want to leave.

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: The house was all ours with a great kitchen and dining room as well as an upstairs lounge. Very clean and well maintained.

Cons: We couldn’t get over the musty smell at the ground floor.

Casa da Grota is the nicest place I've stayed in a long time.

Pros: Very nice place to stay and good value for money. Very spacious, clean and beautiful house with a quite big outdoor space. There is everything you need to stay there for a while, kitchen (with everything needed), washing machine, dryer, even quite a big bookshelf. The host was very helpful with some inquiries we had during our stay. House is a bit outside of the town centre, up the hill, if you're not driving, there are taxis available from town or bus from Funchal goes through town and stops few minutes from the property. Overall a very pleasant stay. If you're visiting Porto Moniz, I highly recommend this place.

Perfection could be impossible but with casa da Grota could be possible, we will come back again!
