Great House with a breathtaking view!
Pros: The House has everything you need for a big family holiday, 4 spacious bedrooms, various supplies in the kitchen, coffee machine, working oven, wasching machine and a dryer. But the most spectacular is the view, it makes every morning coffee perfect. Shop is 5 minutes drive.
Cons: Nothing, but mind that It’s on the hill. It creates the spectacular view, but you need to have a car to access it easily.

We had an unforgettable time in Madeira and thoroughly enjoyed it!
Pros: The house is very well located, a great base for exploring the island. In a quiet neighborhood with a beautiful view. The house is spacious, both the bedrooms and the common areas. The host is kind and welcoming. A lovely welcome gift – a cake. The house is clean and well-maintained, and equipped as described. If we ever return to Madeira, we'd happily stay at the same place. A car is required to get there, but the house has two convenient parking spaces. A large Continente supermarket is being built nearby, offering ample shopping. Smaller shops are also nearby, accessible by car.

A Great House with an Unparalleled View
Pros: The house is well equipped and in great condition, but the story here is the view. This is one of those rare cases where the listing pictures are gorgeous, but the property itself exceeds them significantly. The view from the house is breathtaking. It is not in a central location, but I'd go even farther away from the city for such a view :) Moreover, since there are a lot of things to see all throughout the island, and not only in Funchal, being away from the city is not always a bad thing.
Cons: If you arrive when its dark, note that the roads may be a little challenging to drive.

Fantastic remote villa in the hills, that has beautiful views in every direction.
Pros: This villa is in a prime location with no other houses near it, and just fantastic views in every direction, including to the sea. There are 4 large bedrooms with comfy beds, and downstairs has a well equipped open kitchen, dinning room and lounge. Outside is a garden that you want to spend time, relaxing in taking in the mountain air and the views. There was a ball and basket ball area for the kids, BBQ, tables and chairs, and sun lounges. There is a local shop around 20 mins walk along a beautiful footpath through the vineyards and parking for two cars on the drive. We are a family of 6 with 4 kids mostly student aged, and had the most amazing holiday. We particularly recommend Levada PR16 which is only 10 mins drive from the house and well worth a visit.
Cons: Nothing - except one of the family got a tick - so we recommend people take a Tick remover with them.

Cozy house with amazing mountain views
Pros: Beautiful location with amazing views. Spacious rooms, cozy living room and very well equipped kitchen. Also the cat that is visiting the house was cute :)
Cons: The upstairs bathroom was gathering water on the floor for some reason. We couldn't get it dry. Also the cat was at some times very loudly meowing but that is not the fault of the hosts of course. Some playing cards would be a great addition to the board game shelf.

Spectacular views
Pros: Large, comfortable house, with large terraces with spectacular views. Host and family very friendly. This was our second time. Up in the hills but close to the town and the beautiful north coast.

Pros: La vue depuis la maison est magnifique et la ville à proximité dispose de tout ce qu'il faut. Attention, toutefois, il faut avoir une voiture. La maison est grande, propre et agréable. Nous avons été contents de disposer d'une machine à laver et d'un sèche linge. A notre arrivée, un gâteau nous attendait. Nous recommandons vivement.
