Excellence in B and B

Pros: Our hosts Dick and Vanessa really do care that you get everything from your visit you wish for. I already miss the hand -made soap and shampoo. Careful touches are apparent everywhere you look.

Cons: The lack of aircon in the bedroom was a problem as the mozzie count locally is high and although the small window had a mosquito screen, for some real air throughput - we needed the big window open, and then some antihistamine cream in the morning!

Great holidays

Pros: Lovely hosts that very much care about their guests. Breakfast was incredible and house is very inviting for andinner at the Pool.

Pros: I wholeheartedly recommend this place! Vanessa & Dick created a beautiful space where you a feel at home while exploring everything the area has to offer. Design of rooms and all the details along my stay were curated with a lot of attention and care. Hosts were very helpful in recommending additional attractions such as surf training or massage. Each of their recommendations turn out great. Thank you Vanessa, Dick, Madeleine and Sami for these peaceful and sunny days ☀️🫶🏻

Cons: For someone who wishes to be close to the beach this place may not be best. I would still recommend it though as it has an easy access to both of top beaches in the area: Arrifana and Playa de Konte Clérigo. It has a nice swimming pool also

Magical place at algarves westcoast

Pros: Wonderful house, lovely and well equipped rooms, super nice hosts and staff!! We loved the handmade breakfast in the morning and the well equipped kitchen to prepare our own dinner. It was super easy to get in touch with other guests. The house is perfectly located for surfing at arrifana beach and nice beach walks in the area. Vanessa and Dick created a little paradise - they are super friendly, caring and helpful!! We will definitely be back one day! Thank you so much for having us :)

Pros: Everything. Vanesa, Dick, Samy and Maddie were amazing and the place unique. It’s a perfect place if you like surfing and enjoying the nature. The area is wonderful, rooms very comfortable and the breakfast everyday was different and magnificent! I definitely recommend this place and looking forward to come back!

Pros: Where to start? It's a true paradise in Vale da Telha. Dick and Vanessa are delightful hosts, with genuine care about their guests and dedicated to every aspect of our stay. We love to know you guys, and we're blessed that we stayed in your cool home. Thanks for every single thing. You have a magnificent breakfast with local produts, everything fresh and with a great presentation and lovely vibes. The pool, the beds, the music, the colors, everything is alligned and justified. Everything just great!

Pros: Such a beautiful place! The owners are amazing and there‘s so much love in every detail of the house! Also the breakfast is just great. 100% recommend this place for a stay in portugal.

Pros: This was the second time we stayed with Vanessa&Dick and we again really enjoyed it. By now they are offering yoga lessons depending on demand and that was a great start to the day prior to enjoying the great breakfast. Highly recommend staying at Birds of Paradise.

Pros: Birds of Paradise is an amazing place. You can find a good rest and peace here. Vanessa and Dick are amazing hosts that help with everything and are super friendly and lovely. The atmosphere in the house is familiar. We felt very cozy there. And a highlight is definitely the breakfast. You will find vegan and organic products and they offer a good variety. We absolutely loved it. We did not miss anything in birds of paradise and want definitely to come back.

Pros: clean, cute, great breakfast, close to several good surf beaches, lovely pool area, very friendly and caring owners who help u with all they can and know about the area, surf, food, hikes etc. only around 6 rooms, so there r just a few other guests around but if u like u can always connect with them. cooking for dinner yourself also worked really well, dishwasher available. loves it
