Rooms for Rent in Funchal

Pros: The balcony was nice, rooms were comfortable, we liked the kitchen.

Pros: The apartament is located in a nice, quiet area. The room I got was spacious, it had a separate bathroom and a big wardrobe. The kitchen is well equipped. There is an amazing view from the balcony. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Ignore the one negative opinion here, it was posted by people who were rather problematic.

Cons: It is an apartment so it can get quite noisy. Especially when other guests don’t understand rules of shared space. I stayed with people who woke up at four in the morning and were noisy. At five they decided to blow dry their hair. They moved the slide door of the bathroom that is noisy eleven times between four and five am, I couldn’t sleep. Others would be noisy in the kitchen after eleven pm. One person was staying in the living room at night instead of staying in the bedroom. I think guests need to be instructed better on how to behave in a shared space.

Too far outside the city

Pros: We only had contact with the owner by email, as we did not go to this place, which was not very easy for us to access.

Satisfied overall

Pros: The apartment has a great view of the city and sea and is spacious with a large lounge and shared kitchen. It is in a good location where it doesn't take too long to get into town. It was kept nice and clean. It is a well equipped apartment with cutlery, a kettle, a fridge freezer, a wine opener and recycle bins.

Cons: The bed wasn't very comfortable, it was a bit hard and the bed sheet had a bumpy texture. It would be nice if there was air con, although that might have bumped up the price. There wasn't a bin in my bedroom. On booking.com, it said \
