Acacia Apartment by Atlântica

9.9 rating is highly misleading.

Pros: The location was fine. The apartment was spacious. The facilities were OK.

Cons: I didn't like all the noise. The apartment overhead made lots of noise from 6am to 10pm. Outside, there were at least 2 dogs constantly barking. The apartment was rated 9.9 on Booking.com, and in my opinion this was highly misleading.

October family break

Pros: Clean modern apartment, quality bedding and bath towels provided . There is a spacious wrap around balcony with outlook of the sea and Funchal port. Also lots of outdoor furniture provided. There is a separate cloakroom, which was useful for three adults. Good WiFi and large tv. Efficient lifts to the flat on third floor. Parking space in garage. Good coffee pastry shop nearby. A steep walk to Funchal marina takes 30 minutes from the apartment passing the football stadium.

Cons: The residential area around the apartment is steep with lots of steps. The steps at the rear of this block are broken and in need of repair, we had to use these at night as the front door was locked from inside. We only had one set of keys given to us, causing a problem for three adults at times. Some kitchen utensils are showing signs of wear and should be replaced. It was hot in the apartment even at night in October, and there is no air conditioning. Lots of dogs around the apartment in the balcony opposite and below with doors open can be disturbing. On arrival, we found that the apartment's address was difficult for the taxi to locate, so a map marking in which block this apartment would have been helpful.

Pros: Excellent communication from beginning to the end of our stay. Cristina is absolutely lovely. Very comfortable beds Clean place although bathroom needs more attention. Perfect location for us as we like Sao Martinho area.

Cons: Steep, very steep but that's usual thing for Madeira. Not easy to park a car in the garage

Pros: very clean and equipped apartment, good location close to important shops like market

Cons: The elevator is very close to one of the bedrooms it's disturbing only if you want to rest during the day difficult to park the car in the garage

Love it! Beautiful, clean, Good view. Cristina is so nice and kind. She helped us with everything.

Perfect place to stay for first time visit to Madeira.

Pros: Fantastic apartment to stay in Funchal, and use as a base to explore Madeira. Located slightly out of the main city centre - about a 20min walk into Funchal central - but a great spot to enjoy local cafes and bakeries, and get immersed in the authentic Madeira culture. Cristina, the host, is excellent and communicative, and extremely helpful. Would definitely come back and stay here!

Pros: Host, Cristina, was just amazing and very easy to communicate with. Apartment was very nice, clean, spacious and had a wonderful view. Well equipped. Highly recommended.

Cons: There is nothing we did not like about this place.

Muito agradavél

Pros: A casa é cômoda e tem tudo o que é necessário. A anfitriã Cristina é muito simpática, prestável e disponível. Quando voltar à Madeira vou com certeza considerar a Acacia Apartment by Atlântica.

Ein rundum perfekter Aufenthalt – komfortabel, sauber und mit liebevollen Extras.

Pros: Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt! Die Wohnung war sehr geräumig und bot einen traumhaften Ausblick. Es war wirklich alles vorhanden – von Waschmaschine und Geschirrspüler bis hin zu jeglichem Zubehör im Bad, Putzutensilien und einer voll ausgestatteten Küche (inklusive Toaster, Pürierstab etc.). Besonders gefreut haben uns das kleine Willkommens-Körbchen mit Tee, Keksen und Getränkepäckchen sowie die bereitgestellten Handtücher. Alles war sehr sauber und gepflegt. Die Vermieterin ist ausgesprochen nett, hilfsbereit und jederzeit erreichbar. Zusätzlich gibt es eine Garage für das Auto, was sehr praktisch war. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne wieder!
