Villa City

Pros: Villa City in Funchal, Madeira was absolutely perfect. The apartment was amazing — modern, spotless, and extremely well equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The coastal views were beautiful and made every morning and evening special. The location couldn’t have been better either — close to everything, yet peaceful enough to properly relax. The WiFi was fast and reliable, and the facilities throughout were excellent. Everything just worked seamlessly. Honestly, I couldn’t fault it. If you’re staying in Funchal, this is an incredible place to base yourself. I would stay again without hesitation.

Pros: The check-in arrangement was very simple, and the host was extremely responsive and friendly. The apartment was spotless and well-maintained, and its location is excellent—especially if you’re travelling by car and planning day trips, as it’s close to the main road. The apartment is fully equipped with everything you might need during your stay.

Pros: There was great wifi, great comfort, everything you would need in the kitchen, great cleanliness

Cons: As long as you’re okay with waiting for an uber to take you to the top of the long steep hill where it’s situated then there was 0 complaints

Very nice apartment close to the city center in a quiet neighbourhood.

Pros: Close to the center, Nice terrace and quiet neighbourhood.

Cons: The walls are very thin, we could hear our neighbours talk.

Good place for its value

Pros: Great communication with the manager, never met each other, but both check-in and check-out went quite smoothly with no problem. The kitchen is well equipped including washing machine (but no dishwasher). The apartment is large and has its terrace (at least ours had). The bedroom was spacious as well, bed was quite comfortable. Great thing about this apartment is its location: just next to the highway and we didn't waste time on crossing the city in the morning while going to other locations for hikes.

Cons: The ventilation is quite poor, hence there is quite a bit of mold around the entrance door also sleeping was not easy sometimes (opening windows let the noise from the street in). Also overall everything was of a quite cheap quality but working.

Pros: Flawless accomodation, fluent communication with the host, clean and cosy. Highly recommend!

Cons: Good thing that Bolt is cheap.

Pros: How modern the appartement was, all the equipment was very good, its terrace and owner's kindness.

Cons: The mosquitos. There were too much and stinged a lot my family and me. Something that should be resolved without any doubt. The sofa bed wasn't as good as we expected but you could sleep well.

Pros: Good location, super confortable and clean! The host was amazing.

Cons: No aircon so I had to buy a fan, quite noisy neighbours and traffic, plus a lot of pollution from the road meant I couldn’t keep the windows/doors open

Nice money for value new apartment.

Pros: It is a new apartment !!! We kindly recommend it. You have inside all you need to feel like home. We ate on the terrace in the morning. Corina is very careful with all the requests.

Cons: It is situated into a town intersection and it is a little bit noisy when the windows are opened. Bedrooms are in the back of the apartment and it is ok during the night.
