Great base for a week in Madeira

Pros: Great location close to many great restaurants and just a 20min walk to Funchal centre. Friendly welcome from host. Very accommodating of our early check-in time. Clean modern apartment. Comfy bed. Great shower. Very good restaurant on site. Nice to have a sea view.

Cons: It’s a shame that the balcony is overlooked by the terrace of the next door bar. Couldn’t really sit out without feeling a little watched. Also some noise in the evening from the same bar. But the rest of the time it was quiet and the positives definitely outweighed the negatives.

Pros: We loved absolutely everything especially bottle of wine on arrival . Really clean throughout . Very easy access .

Cons: Only very small thing cutlery very weak !

Amazing! Great place ❤️

Pros: What a beautiful place. Spacious, clean comfortable apartment. Lots of towels and clean bathrooms. Beautiful views. Great location near old town and views of the sea. Chairs in the roof also for some sun lounging. Owners were helpful, and great to communicate. We loved our stay here. Lots of other places mention traffic and hills but this location was great and we were never disturbed by traffic noise

Pros: Great location,Maikel is an excellent host, he could not off done anymore for us on our stay. The apartment was clean and very comfortable, it has a nice balcony with great views of the town and sea , probably a better view than we had expected. The kitchen had all the utensils you would expect for a short stay, bed was comfortable. The restaurant below apartments is also managed by Maikel, the food was excellent as were the staff. We would not hesitate to recommend a stay at Casal de Penha .

Cons: Being fussy , another small comfy chair and full length mirror would be an added bonus.

Pros: Lovely modern apartment in an ideal location. Everything you would need for a short stay. The host Maikel was very helpful and the family restaurant downstairs is certainly worth a visit.

Very good.

Pros: Good place in the city (which is the hilly one), location close to many restaurants. Clean room with all needed conveniences. Downstairs very good restaurant.

Cons: Nothing important. There was a bit struggle with car parking. As room is close to restaurant, so noise can be heard. With closed windows, everything is ok.
