Excellent place but a bit too far from places of interest.
Pros: Very large, very comfortable flat with two good size bathrooms.
Cons: This is not in the least a criticism, but the flat is in a very residential area, a good 20-25 minutes walk from coffee shops/bars/restaurants etc (except there is a supermarket 5-6 min away). The historical centre is over 35 min., downhill going down and a heart-thumping steep uphill walk coming back (and I am a good trekker). Just be advised.

Very stacious flat, good location for trips
Pros: large spacious apartment, two bathrooms, bathtub, separate kitchen, parking space in the underground garage, beautiful view, excellent communication, good location for trips
Cons: far from central attractions, back uphill, later a taxi helped us, feeling like in an apartment building in a housing estate and not on a real vacation, noise from the road

Pros: We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was very kind and accommodating, the apartment was clean and ready for us, with a beautiful view from the balcony. Perhaps the only downside was the loud barking of dogs in the neighboring houses, but that's not the host's fault and you can simply close the window for better comfort at night :) Otherwise, a quiet apartment building with a covered parking spot.

Modern big apartment with very nice view to the city and bay, well recommended!
Pros: Amazing view of the city and bay of Funchal from the large balcony, modern, big, clean apartment, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen equipped with everything necessary to cook, and a parking space in the building's garage. Location is not far from city centre (20 min by walk) and close to main roads, so good starting point for driving around the island, also there are supermarkets and grocery stores nearby for convenient shopping. The owners are also very nice and helpful - well recommended place to stay!

Perfect apartment in Funchal
Pros: Lovely spacious apartment, well equipped. Two double bedrooms, two bathrooms, large lounge with decent sofa and large dining table. Nice views from the balcony and a quiet and safe feeling area. Large well equipped kitchen.
Cons: Nothing. A decent walk into town (20-25 mins) but all downhill on the way there and only 6€ for a taxi back at the end of the evening.

Amazing, clean, spacious, perfect!!
Pros: Amazing, amazing, amazing! Great contact with the host, perfect place, very clean, spacious, beds are huge, 2 bathrooms. We asked to get second pair of keys and the host gave it to us, which made our stay even more pleasant. I will definitely definitely stay there again next time I am in Funchal. Superb!

The best option to stay in Madeira. 5 stars!!
Pros: Spacious apartment with EVERYTHING you might need during your stay: 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, laundry machine, dishwasher, coffee maker and a view from the balcony to die for. The host Vitoria went above and beyond and was always available for us and even provided all sorts of recommendations. The Center is 30 min walking distance, or 5-10 min with the bus. Super fast Wi-Fi that allowed us to work from there too. We spent 10 Days there and it was awesome. Totally recommend!
