Villa Formosa

It was a beautiful place to stay in and the hosts were extremely kind and helpful.

Pros: The location was in a beautiful spot, the accomodation was very comfortable and there was plenty of room and living space. The garden was a lovely relaxing space to enjoy a meal or a drink.

Cons: I wasn`t so keen on the mosquitos, but that probably is a problem all over the island

Gorgeous apartment with beautiful views and very helpful hosts!

Pros: The property was brilliantly located beside a bus stop that has a regular bus to the centre of Funchal. It was quiet and safe, the property had everything you could need in it and was a very comfortable place to stay for a week. We could not recommend it enough!

Pros: This apartment exceeded my expectations in every ways. For a fair price you get a full apartment with kitchen and a garden patio where you enjoy views of the sea. It is near Funchal center and can be easily accessed by rental car or taxi. I will highlight that the host Maria is more than very kind and helpful. This property is a jewel on Madeira and I recommend it 100%.

Pros: Good location, big balcony where you can enjoy the breakfast, beautiful view. Free parking on the street.

Cons: There were some small ants in the kitchen. There’s no “private” parking, but free public parking is available on the street - either directly in front of the apartment on a bit steep street (it’s Madeira ;) or few meters away on the main street, so no problem at all. We always found a free spot.

Pros: The area is absolutely amazing ❤️if you fancy being around nature and waking up to the birds and the trees whilst being within easy reach of getting to Funchal this is the place to choose ❤️🌴☀️

Cosy stay near to Funchal without the noise of Funchal center. Very helpful host!

Pros: Location is superb if you don't want to be in the business of Funchal center. There is a bus stop to Funchal at 100 meters ( every half hour). The host helped us very good the first day so we immediately had all the information we needed. Everthing was very clean, really good bed and a lovely balcony to sit in the sun in the evening

Cons: We didn't have any negative experiences of the studio itself . But in the neighbourhood were barking dogs every night

Pros: Lovely and quiet place. Got everything that is needed for a stay. I especially like the garden, a lovely opportunity to rest after a long day.

Pros: The studio apartment had wonderful views of the ocean as well as a banana farm! The beds and pillows were very comfortable. And the hosts, Maria and Augostinho, were extremely helpful and hospitable. We will definitely stay there again and highly recommend the accommodation.

Pros: A true slice of paradise. With all the needed things like well equipped kitchen and washing mas home. And most importantly - amazing terrace with an ocean view to chill out after sightseeing.
