One Love Maktub

Best location ever!

Pros: Best location ever. What a view from the balcony. Make sure to make a reservation at Maktub Restaurant to have the best fish of your life. The people are super nice and the cocktails were great. We already miss it!

Pros: This place is an absolute dream! The balcony offers an incredible view of the ocean — every morning begins with the sound of waves and the fresh sea breeze, and the evenings are filled with magical sunsets. Falling asleep to the sound of the ocean is pure magic. The ocean is just a few steps away! The apartment is fully equipped with everything you need: a well-equipped kitchen, a washing machine — everything is thoughtfully arranged for a comfortable stay. The vibe is fantastic — the apartment is located above a charming, atmospheric bar that adds to the mood without disturbing your rest. This place truly stole my heart. When I return to Madeira, I’ll stay here and nowhere else. Highly recommended from the bottom of my heart!

Absolutely recommend for your next sty in Paul Do Mar. Amazing view from the apartment

Pros: I loved the location and view from the Balcony. The Kitchen was also good and has basic amenities. The apartment was clean and bed was super comfortable as well.

Cons: Nothing to complain, but it can get too loud at night with the bar next door which is open until 2 am.

Cons: Cons: The only annoying thing was the shower in the bathroom, the shower pipe leaks more than the water coming out and it was difficult to take a shower with it and also the bathroom floor gets wet and we couldn't even find any wipers to clean it so had to deal with a wet floor the whole time.

Wonderful resting spot after our adventures hikes

Pros: The location of Maktub is amazing. Directly at the sea in a less touristic area. You could do hikes starting in front of the door. The flat is well equipped. Beyond the flat there was a nice bar, which was not too loud. Locals and tourists were coming by to enjoy the beautiful sunsets. A small supermarket is nearby (4min by car).

Cons: Our shower was leaking a bit so there was always water on the bathroom floor & Some hooks to hang your jackets would be nice.

Fabulous ocean view

Pros: Amazing views of the ocean. Spacious apartment. Clean and tidy.

Cons: Wooden Bed was creaky and mattress a bit uncomfortable. steep steps to apartment

Value for money with stunning sunset and ocean views

Pros: This must have been the closest I have ever slept to the ocean. The views from the balcony are stunning. The sound of the waves are soothing, especially late at night. Great location with two cool bars downstairs. You can watch the surfers here in Paul do Mar or have a cheap cocktail and watch the sunset.

Cons: The pictures didn’t quite match the property as it had no sofa (only two small armchairs) or coffee machine. The bed was very creaky and I kept waking up during the night. Needs an upgrade. However, still great value for money.

Fantastic view

Pros: Stunnig view, good location. Great restaurant in the same building.

Cons: Little bit small bed.

It‘s 3 days when the sea, the sound of the waves, and the moon is amazing and wonderful on the day of rest.

Pros: It‘s next to the sea, the sound of the waves, playing with the water, it’s a wonderful and wonderful 3 nights vacation, we don‘t have to travel with a sunset view. The soundproofing room is good and there are plenty of places to drink.

Cons: If you‘ll have a bigger outside table. You have a great sunset view, so eating outside is wonderful. Increase the foot size 43/40 will be good.

Great spot + view!

Pros: Great spot, vibes & ocean view! Fully equipped kitchen.

Cons: - bed (+sheets + pillows) is not comfortable + small (1.40 x 2.00) - restaurant downstairs was closed.
