Granny's house view

Pros: The view is incredible, deck chairs in the garden are comfy. The private parking space is not on the street, so your car is safe from damage.

Cons: Getting there by car is a bit tricky

Clean and great view.

Pros: Excellent property and the staff. Thought I was Kate to arrive, I was waited for. The cleanliness, facilities and the view was great. Everything you need including washing machine was available.

A great view is not everything..

Pros: Very spacious, you have everything you need in house to stay a couple of days and cook or grill if that’s what you are into. Lovely garden with a nice view. Private parking is plus if you can get to it.

Cons: As much the view is nice, the same can be obtain pretty much anywhere in Funchal, in my opinion it doesn’t justify the over price. And then there a couple of details worth mention, for the price I expect a better shower, needs a bit of an upgrade and maintenance since water is leaking out. The hot water is also barely enough for two people taking shower one after the other. And finally something that needs to be crystal clear to anyone that intents to rent a car. The location is yes served by a bus, but to have more flexibility you need a car for this accommodation. However this is a double edge sword, parking the car on the private parking does require driving experience, I had a very very small car and yet it was not straight forward to park the car up there everyday. If your car is a bit bigger you will have troubles, period. The all area is very steep and you are better off leaving the car a bit further from the property.

Would definitely stay in this property again.

Pros: Great views over looking Funchal. Really liked the balcony.

Cons: Beds to hard, there wasn’t 2 bedrooms as advertised. The double bed was in the lounge. Not a problem for just 2 of us though.

Pros: We like all about this place!!!! An excellent 🏠 with tidy garden (palm and banana trees), wide terrace with an extraordinary view over the Funchal, city & port, and ocean. There is fire place if you like to prepare grilled meals. Fully equipped kitchen, Paul let us have basics for cooking (such as salt, oil, spices, coffee, sugar…) enough until the first visit to supermarket. Madeira chocolate as a small treat- appreciated ❤️ We took the rent-a car at the airport, so we had 🅿️ place in the own yard.

Cons: I was terrified by surroundings, steep and narrow streets - but it is Madeira 😎😬🫣 Before visiting it, I thought people exaggerate. No, they don’t!!! It is really frightening. After some time, I got used to it 🙃but I have to admit it was challenging experience.

Amazing view, comfortable and homey.

Pros: The place is lovely, and very well equipped. The check in and out experience was very smooth. Our favorite part was probably the terrace, which has an amazing view. We only wish we had stayed more.

Cons: The only slight downsides were that the beds(old-fashioned, beautiful wooden ones) were a bit creaky and that there is no mosquito net, so we had to hunt for them (there was an electric swatter at the property).

Perfect relaxing house

Pros: I loved this apartment. We were there for 5 days. Everything was really clean, and the house was big. The best thing we didn't realize is that the house comes with a big terrace, but also with a yard on lower level, and there is a dining table and a grill.

Cons: Only problem we had was with parking. We couldn't park in the parking spot in our yard, but still you can park on a lower street.

Pros: The house is located on a hill, you have a nice view of the city both in the morning as well at night. The grill area is very nicely organized, covered terrace perfect for eating outside and enjoying a drink. The pictures don't do it justice as it is more beautiful in reality.

Very pleasant stay with great view

Pros: Nice, quite spacious and comfortable flat equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Particularly noteworthy is the terrace overlooking the ocean, where you can eat your meals while admiring the surroundings. There is also a small garden with a special barbecue area.

Cons: The entrance to the private parking space can be a challenge for drivers not used to driving up quite steep hills.

Pros: We appreciate the beautiful view, the fact that this place was spacious and the responsible approach by the host, who provided us with all the necessary information on the day of check in.
