Place to be in Ponta da Cruz

Pros: The host personally welcomed us and helped us get our bearings around the area/recommended good places to visit. Really appreciated the warm hospitality! The house was also modern and well furnished.

Cons: Don’t think it’s unique to this property but a general issue that Madeiran houses face - the house smelled damp downstairs, unfortunately it was hard to air the place out in stormy weather. Having a dehumidifier/air conditioning may help? 🤔

Pros: Instructions and service. Place is quite newly renovated and is one of the higher level in the village. The oener was very helpful and friendly.

Cons: Some practical hints are not completed (for example the door stopper to the bathroom unables the door to be open widely. Entrance door and the gate door are impossible to be closed without slamming them.

Pros: There are 3 very good restaurants just a short walk from the house. Recently refurbished with a well equipped kitchen. In the small garden you can watch the sunset over the sea. Very peaceful place.

Fijne accommodatie in het uiterste westen van M

Pros: Prachtig, onlangs gerenoveerde ruime woning, rustig gelegen in het dorpje Ponta do Pargo. Nu de zuidelijke ‘Expressway’ helemaal klaar is, rijd je in een klein uurtje naar de luchthaven van Funchal. De westzijde van het eiland is veel minder drukbezocht dan het oosten.

Cons: De deurstopper van de badkamerdeur laat de deur niet ver genoeg opengaan.

Pros: Ruhige Lage. Gut gelegen für Wanderungen. Alles sehr gut ausgestattet.

Cons: Liegt eben etwas Unten. Im Winter daher etwas dunkel.
