Pros: A perfect place for us — quiet and secluded, with a beautiful stone house fully equipped for a comfortable stay. The terrace with a BBQ was a great bonus. Close to the sea, waterfalls, and cliffs — ideal for relaxation and recharging. Highly recommended!

Pros: Nice and quiet location, very near to the beach and a swim. Easy to get to and quick access to the main road(s) as well.

Pros: If you like a quiet and natural environment, this is the right place. The area is very peaceful, with a truly authentic atmosphere. There are many waterfalls nearby, and in the evenings or early mornings you can really enjoy the sounds of nature, especially the birds. One day we even had a barbecue, which was lovely. The host was very kind, and the private parking space is definitely a big advantage. We enjoyed the most on the balcony, from where there is a beautiful view of the hills, waterfalls, and banana fields.
Cons: We think the host should have mentioned that the workers in the banana fields sometimes move around very close to the house. However, the workers were very kind and even gave us bananas. The he bedroom could have a larger and more comfortable bed, especially better pillows, as the ones provided were very high and hard for us. When entering the house, there was a unpleasant smell on the ground floor where the living room and kitchen are located. The sofa in the living room looked very dirty and untidy, so we completely avoided that area.

Pros: Beautiful location with stunning sunset views. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. The house was well equipped.
Cons: Unfortunately, the beds were extremely uncomfortable, and the lack of air conditioning was noticeable – the fans didn’t help much.

Pros: It was a really great time at Madeira in a wonderful house. Everything that was needed was there. The hostess was very friendly and available at any time. The location of the house on the island is highly recommended. Everything can be reached in a maximum of 60 minutes
Cons: everything was great. there is nothing that was missing

Pros: Amazing place, very beautiful house and extremely welcoming host.
Cons: there is a busy road to the beach and waterfalls, so found it not very safe to go there with kids. All the rest was great

Banana house
Pros: A smaller two-story house surrounded by lots of banana trees. It has an excellent equipped kitchen and dining room. The toilet is on the ground floor and upstairs as part of a nice bathroom. Plenty of towels available. It has a terrace on the south side and on the north, where there is also a fireplace - a grill for preparing meals. Charcoal was prepared. We also received a lot of delicious bananas, for which we thank you. There is also an excellent laundry room, where you can not only wash your clothes, but also wash your dirty shoes. The whole house is very practically furnished. It is located near the ocean.
Cons: The outdoor furniture would need repair. The extra bed was very comfortable, but the third bed creaked terribly. Wifi was good on the ground floor (in the dining room), but upstairs (in the room) it was worse.

A small oasis in the middle of bananas
Pros: It was our eighth stay on Madeira Island and the best accommodation so far. A great renovated house, we were shown everything in detail and we also learned a lot about the history of the house. Veronica and her family were the best hosts, providing us with fresh fruit. You can expect a very clean accommodation there, surrounded by bananas, with a private parking lot and plenty of space to relax. Simply a little oasis with a sea view, the sound of the sea and lots of privacy. We will definitely book the house again on our next vacation!
Cons: We can only think of one tiny suggestion for improvement: Insect/mosquito screens on the windows and doors.

Pros: Very beautiful house in a nice quie, place. We were a family of 3. There is one bedroom with a double bed and a single bed that has 2 mattresses. Our daughter slept there. We had a great time at the house, having everything we needed to cook and relax. Highly recommended.

A fabulous stay with unforgettable views and a great location on this beautiful island!
Pros: Fantastic views of the Atlantic and banana plantations from front terrace and lovely barbecue on back terrace - we were outside most of the time which was such a treat in February. We saw some incredible sunsets over the ocean too. The location is fab - a short drive to the local supermarket and a nice walk to Madalena for a bite to eat (through some amazing old tunnels). We also went for some lovely runs along the sea front. It’s a short drive to some beautiful hikes - Levada Nova was one of our favourites. It was clean and comfortable and the hosts were very friendly and communicative - the homegrown bananas and papaya were a lovely welcoming gift.
Cons: Nothing! The only thing we would improve would be a few more glasses, a bottle opener and some more breakfast bowls. Other than that it was perfect!
