The best sea view in Madeira - Casa Farol

Pros: The location was perfect as we were looking for something away from the city. Amazing sea view everyday. We were there for more than a week and had a memorable stay at the property. Nearest coffee place is 5-6 mins drive. The property is well stocked with utensils, coffee machine etc. All you need is supplies to cook. Best would be to shop in super market in Calheta or Funchal. The host was available and was kind to check via message if we were comfortable and enjoying our stay.

Very good

Pros: We spent 3 nights in this wonderful house. It's a very beautiful and clean house, with everything neatly arranged and nothing broken. There is convenient parking near the house (but it's better not to try with very large cars). The house has all the necessary appliances for a comfortable stay, as well as an outdoor table, chairs, and sun loungers. The window offers a stunning view of the vast ocean.

Cons: Small TV without Youtube.

Pros: Our family had perfect and one of the calmest stays in our travel history at Casa Farol. The beds a comfortable - not too soft - which is our preference, kitchen has all tools you need for your daily breakfast, lunch or dinner, rooms are clean and spacious. The view from the villa is the most relaxing and exiting! I would recommend it for everyone. Thanks to host Orlando for our pleasant stay!

Pros: We had a wonderful stay in Orlando's house, it was even better than we expected. The house is well maintained, has everything you might need, and the view is just amazing. We will definitely consider staying here again in the future.

Cons: Be aware the ramp to the house's own parking lot is very narrow. This is however not an issue, since you can just park at the gate, or even on the street, which is what I would recommend if you are not a skilled driver.

Best view was not a lie. Really good place!

Pros: 180 degrees ocean view, sunsets like in a movie, absolutely lovely house with all you need. Really good facilities, including air con - you can heat, dry or cool whole house instantly. Best choice for families.

Very peaceful and relaxing

Pros: Very peaceful and relaxing location - well off the beaten track - Spacious comfortable well equiped accommodation that feels like living at home. Good Internet allowed streaming services from the UK. All the necessary facilities and equipment to self cater - although its quite a long way to a decent supermarket for provisions.

Cons: Not a criticism - there is no alternative - but be warned the driveway is very tight and steep (as are most in Madeira) so dont hire any bigger rental car than you need to.

Lovely accommodation but access to a car is essential.

Pros: The accommodation was spacious and generally well equipped. There was a lovely outside space where one could relax. Apart from the occasional barking dog at night, it was a quiet area. Host (Orlando) made contact to welcome us but we could only reply via Booking.com, not direct.

Cons: Unfortunately, during our stay there was a crane immediately in front of the building which somewhat spoilt the sea view. Once the building is complete it will hopefully not be a problem. Wasn't sure what to expect in the area but it was soon obvious that you need to have access to a car. It would have been nice to have had a restaurant / bar within walking distance of the accommodation. Can recommend the Sunshine bar and restaurant which is 10 -15 mins drive. Best to book.

Great place to relax and enjoy beautiful sunsets

Pros: This is a great property in an amazing location, the views as the sun sets were truly incredible! Orlando was a very helpful host and gave us some great tips on what to do locally. We were also taken aback with how quiet it was, really peaceful at night with great view of the stars.

Cons: Unfortunately there is some building work happening in front of the property, this meant that there was a crane partially blocking the incredible view that you get from the garden. Although the kitchen is well stocked for pots and pans, there was a lack of basic ingredients (e.g. we had to buy salt, oil, coffee etc.)

Beautiful house with the best view

Pros: This is definitely one of the best accommodations I stayed in. It's a spacious house with a gorgeous view of the cliffs and the ocean. It had everything we needed and more. We saw beautiful sunsets and so many stars and the milky way from the beautiful garden. The host is excellent. Quick to respond and help. It has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and a washing machine. Easy to reach and excellent located to discover south, west and north Madeira. It's so quiet. Lots of restaurants within a 15 minute drive.

Cons: The WIFI didn't work all the time. The parking space can only be used by small cars. We parked the car on the street, where there isn't a lot of traffic. A new house is being built in front of it. This causes some noise pollution during the week, but this is only temporary.

Perfect Stay with Stunning Views

Pros: I recently stayed at this beautiful house and had an amazing experience. The house is very spacious and perfectly decorated. It has been freshly painted and is equipped with everything you might need. The highlight of my stay was the incredible view of the cliffs and the sunset. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing and picturesque getaway.
