Wonderful house with wonderful views

Pros: Wonderfully spacious house with lots and lots of outdoor space. The beds are comfortable. the kitchen is very well equipped and having a bathroom and an additional separate toilet is very handy. The views are stupendous. You can easily walk down to Ribeira Brava, it's only about 10-15 mins, involving quite a few steps. We had one minor issue and it was resolved super quickly and efficiently by the very attentive and kind hosts. There is traffic on the road right next to the house, but it is not too disruptive and this also means that you have easy access to all that Madeira has to offer. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come again.

Cons: The WiFi was sometimes a bit shaky in the bedrooms, but solid in the living room and kitchen. The shower cubicle could maybe do with being modernised, but everything works perfectly and the shower and water pressure are excellent.

More than perfect!

Pros: A caring and warm welcome from Fernanda and Filipe, a beautiful, spacious, and incredibly comfortable villa, ideally located for exploring the island. My son and I had a dream week! Can't wait to come back!

Pros: There was big terrace with a nice view, enough room and practically everything you need to cook a meal or washing clothes. Location was also quite close to the center. Hosts were very friendly and helpful.

Cons: Everything was ok.

Pros: The house was excellent, it had everything we needed and had great views from its terraces.

Cons: It was quite a long steep walk up the hill from town, although there was a bus stop outside the house.

Pros: The accommodation was wonderful. On the terrace where we ate, we felt like we were in a botanical garden. The location of the accommodation was very good. From the windows and the terrace there was an amazing view of the sea. When we come back to Madeira, we would like to stay at this place again.

Lovely house, spotlessly clean and amazing hosts

Pros: An absolutely lovely house, spotlessly clean and everything you could possibly need for a great holiday. One or two previous reviews mentioned that the beds were hard but we found them to be very comfortable so maybe this has been addressed. There was a choice of pillows and lots of clean towels. Nice terraces and a lovely garden area for sitting out. Fernanda and Felipe were amazing, so very kind and helpful. They spent time with us explaining the very complicated bus timetables - I can confirm that the Rodoeste buses No. 6 & No. 142 do stop just outside the house. They advised us on good hikes, places to visit and a list of their favourite cafes and restaurants. Muralha Terrace Grill & Restaurant in Ribeira Brava was excellent but it is very popular so you do need to book. We didn’t have a car so they provided us with the phone number of a local taxi driver who turned out to be brilliant and totally trustworthy.

Cons: I am being extremely picky now but it would have been nice to have had more than one electric fan so that we could have had one in each bedroom. It was uncharacteristically very hot for October, over 30 degrees. I’m not marking down for this as I’m sure if I’d asked another would have been procured - I was being far too British.

Amazing place for a good price

Pros: The house is big and has all the amenities. It was very clean. Fantastic view. Nice location, as you can access tthe city easily, just 5 minutes drive. The hosts were very nice, offered us local biscuits and fruits, and a lot of information about places to visit.

Pros: Génial ! Une très grande maison joliment décorée on s'y sent très bien, l'espace extérieur est magnifique, ombragé ou soleil on a le choix. Proche de toutes les directions tout en étant au calme L'accueil était très agréable Parfait !

Un pied à terre idéal pour des vacances réussies

Pros: Grande maison très propre et très bien équipée. La situation face à la mer et le jardin fleuri sont très agréables à tout moment de la journée. La localisation géographique est idéale pour visiter l'île.

Cons: La maison est située sur une route passante, ce qui gâche un peu le plaisir lorsqu'on se trouve en extérieur. Néanmoins la maison est très bien isolée et le bruit des voitures ne gène pas lorsqu'on est dans la maison.
