Sunset Star with Sea View

Wonderful view but a little far from main restaurants and sea

Pros: Very large apartment with a wonderful view of the sea

Cons: It is quite a distance from the main restaurants so half an hour walk down the hill and really need to get a taxi back up There was work going on in nearby flats so noisy The bathroom had a drain smell Kitchen had the bare essentials just 2 of everything Parking was a bit tricky

Pros: Lovely spacious apartment for 2 people. Good facilities, nice and clean. Wonderful views! Walking distance to some bars and restaurants, but very steep!

Cons: Water pressure was quite poor, and despite this, we also found that the shower drained very slowly.

Pros: The view is astonishing, clean and very well maintained

Pros: The view is absolutely stunning. The apartment is large and clean

A nicely equipped apartment

Pros: Very clean apartment at the top of Calheta Estrella. The apartment was well equipped in terms of a coffee machine, hairdryer etc. it had a small lounge but most of the time is spent on the balcony. Comfortable beds and appreciate the apartment providing beach towels.

Cons: It was a little bit dark and the lounge was quite small. There was a small battery clip on light in the bedroom but it didn’t work. Please put in bed side lights so that we can read. Good apartment and value for money. It is important to be fit enough to climb the hill to the apartment but local taxis are a good option since they are good value as well.

Pros: Super clean and fantastic views. A very nice large room

Pros: The view was simply awesome. The apartment was large and with everything needed. The position is very good, near Calheta beach and near the main road towards Funchal, but quiet. The host was very helpful and gave us a reserved parking spot. Really recommended.

Cons: Nothing in particular, but I would suggest to put mosquito nets in the small windows to allow to keep the windows open at night.

Clean and safe with a lovely view.

Pros: The view is gorgeous and it felt very clean when we arrived. There is a little balcony which is a great edition and the shower was good.

Cons: It was quite a walk from the beach and shops to get food- it’s very steep. There wasn’t an oven and only two rings on the hob which wasn’t perfect.
