Funchal Apartment

Well equipped apartment in good location

Pros: Great position and good sized apartment which had everything we needed for a 4 night stay, including good cooking facilities and washing machine. Host was responsive to messages. Lovely view from back bedroom.

Cons: Coffee machine didn't work too well! Front room had a lot of street noise.

Home from Home in Funchal

Pros: Pefect location in the centre, a couple of minutes walk away from airport bus stop with a large supermarket beside it.The apartment had everything we could need for or 6 night stay in Maderia.

Great location but property needs a thorough makeover

Pros: Little details such as providing fruits, well equipped kitchen, fresh towels, dish washing liquid, soap for clothes etc. excellent location - everything almost at doorstep

Cons: The flat had 2 issues mainly: 1) the living room carpet was very dirty -never wanted to sit in the living room because of that 2) the property had cockroaches and they would spring to action at night. One night, it also came on me (yucks!!!) - the property requires a thorough cleaning

Pros: A very clean apartment, the description and the photos are not in any way misleading. There is a nice fresh smell everywhere in the apartment. The kitchen was very well equipped, with microwave, toaster, coffee machine, cutlery, dishes, etc. Conveniently situated near the market, beach, shops, teleferico, everything we needed was within walking distance. The host was really prompt in answering our questions, very professional in all communication instances, she provided clear instructions regarding everything prior to our arrival, as well as on departure. We truly appreciated that the host took time to leave flowers and fruit for us.

Cons: Although this could not be attributed to the host, we had the misfortune of staying here while there was construction work in the building across the street. The noise would have made it impossible to rest during the day. The street itself, although not a main street, is very noisy starting at 7 a.m. The bedroom facing the street is not very comfortable form this point of view, as the door and window joinery particularly in this room is wooden, not soundproof. There is one more bedroom away from the street, which is more quiet. Fortunately, we had things to attend to, we were not here to rest, so, all in all, it was a pleasant experience.

Pros: The location was very central, close to everything

Cons: I could hear every movement from the apartment above and they were very noisy and active.

Pros: Flowers and fruits at the appartment were nice surprise

Cons: We had some dificulties with regulation of temperature of water in shower
