Winter break in Madera

Pros: Amazing location, lovely apartment with everything you need. Comfy beds, lovely view on Funchal streets. Close to shops, restaurants, car parks...

Cons: Only one washing machine for 4 to 6 apartments.. it was hard to find a slot to watch the clothes after hikes

Top apartment in a central location

Pros: Great studio apartment in a central location. It was clean, comfortable, cozy and spacious enough for 2 people. I was working from the apartment the whole week and also the internet connection was good. The availability of the washing machine and a dryer in the building made the stay even more convenient. The staff was super friendly as well. Highly recommend!

Pros: The location was great for coffee shops and restaurants. Closeness to the tourist attractions. Fabulous pizza restaurant down stairs.

Excellent Location

Pros: The location is perfect. Nice vibey corner near to the marina and good restaurants. We could walk to most attractions in the Old Town.The street can get noisy from the restaurants below however it adds to the vibe.

Cons: The building had a damp smell so we liked that we could open the large doors to some fresh air. Tenants above were noisy at night, ie.furniture moving around and loud knocking. We ran short of toilet paper and had to buy our own. The toilet flush was faulty. CIgarette smoke from street & restaurant was annoying for us non-smokers but that probably can't be helped.

Pros: The location is right in the centre of the town and you are within walking distance to the main attractions. The ocean is literally 5min away. Thank you to the staff who provided the kettle.

Cons: There was no kettle and we needed to ask for it.
