Garden and Seaview Apartment - Free Parking

A nice, big apartment close to Funchal center.

Pros: We felt warmly welcomed when we arrived. Very nice with a private parking in the garage. Big and clean apartment, and a fantastic terrass. Only 15 min walk to central Funchal. At first the apartment was a little dark, but when we opened the shutters it felt better.

Cons: Add some small saucepans. We stayed in early februari, and a smaller radiator in every bedroom is needed, and a large one in the Livingroom. Perhaps a small one in the bathroom as well. 16° in the morning is a little chilly. 🥶

Pros: The kitchen was excellently furnished and well-equipped (dishwasher, large fridge, and freezer). Overall, the accommodation was very spacious, especially the large terrace. We also appreciated the proximity to the center, just a short walk down the hill.

Cons: Some nights we heard through the open window loud motorcycles outside revving their engines, just a small downside of it being near the road

Gorgeous apartment in a great location. The hosts were incredibly helpful and gracious.

Pros: Beautifully decorated and the views were absolutely stunning!

Cons: Wouldn’t change a thing!

Apartment in the center of Funchal

Pros: The accommodation is close to the center and includes a parking space in the garage. Beautiful and large terrace, well-equipped kitchen and bathroom.

Cons: The apartment is there and the lighting is not sufficient (there is no lamp by the bed at all). There was no place to read after dark. The equipment is slightly stale. The front door gets stuck.

Secure apartment to come home to

Pros: Nice homely apartment in a secure complex with secure basement parking. I wouldn't say it's completely central to tourist areas but its a 10 min walk down the hill to main restaurant streets so not too bad

Cons: I agree with previous reviews about the musky smell (but that also seems to be Madeira wide). It was very hard to ventilate the apartment or try and keep it cool. A portable fan or AC would go a long way for guests in summer. The bed was also very hard so not comfy for everyone

Fantastic central apartment for Madeira stay

Pros: Excellent location, and in a nice part of town opposite a park. Quiet apartment block, very peaceful. Very spacious apartment with a beautiful terrace. Great facilities and secure parking. Host was very helpful and friendly.

Cons: Beds were quite firm, and the lighting in the apartment was a little dim, but these were minor issues. Apartment door automatically locks when the door closes, so have to be careful you have the keys!

Pros: Free parking. Good spacious living room area, bedrooms and the balcony surrounding the flat. Kitchen had many useful tools. Quiet area at night with the windows closed.

Cons: There were some bugs (silverfish bug) in the bathroom and a smell that started minimising if you leave the window open.

All we asked for and a bit more.

Pros: This isn't just a small holiday apartment, but a full living apartment. Two bedrooms, dishwasher, washing machine, new smart tv and a very nice bathroom. Host was very nice and spoke perfect English. We made a deal to text an hour before we wanted to check in so he could meet us there. Worked out really well. Definitely want all my stays to be like this one.

Cons: No airconditioning, though this wasn't a real problem
