Pros: The location was great. So central and everything within walking distance including a big supermarket, perfect for some home cooked meals. Loved the interiors. Super clean and fresh. Really loved our morning coffees on the balcony at sunrise.
Cons: Nothing.

Value for money, amazing location in centre and clean well appointed suite!
Pros: Didn’t have the breakfast. The location was 100%. The reception staff were very helpful - Louis was amazing. Small point - nowhere on booking.com explains the entry system. It does not explain that Mad. Gems is part of Madeira hotel, that you can’t get in without going to hotel. First access not explained at all. Otherwise v nice apartment, v clean, lovely balcony overlooking park, lift, all mod cons and well equipped. Washing machine, oven, dishwasher. Microwave, toaster, hob, safe, and iron + board for the girls. We stayed in Esmeralda suites on to floor - All Excellent.
Cons: Access on arrival explanation. Everything else as you would hope for.

Great apartment. Well located.
Pros: We had a quite new 2nd level apartment. Full kitchen, two toilets and two living areas. Very nicely appointed in a narrow cobblestone street a couple streets back from the main entertainment area in Funchal. Nice and quiet with plenty restaurants within a few minute walk. apartment has a clothes washer. Very handy. Apartment is a Euro35 taxi ride from Funchal airport.
Cons: Google maps gets you close to the location but you then need walk around the block to find the reception area for the affiliated hotel where you pick up the apartment access key. Actually would have been way more convenient if address info was the hotel reception rather than the apartment.

Amazing central apartments
Pros: Lovely central apartment, in the heart of the old town. Amenities were amazing, fully equipped apartment with use of the rooftop pool at adjacent hotel.
Cons: No daily or second daily cleaner; even just to remove rubbish would have been beneficial.

Pros: Loved the location and quality of the apartment The pool and terrace access at the hotel was great Pedro who welcomed us was excellent and thorough with his orientation to the apartment
Cons: Only thing to keep in mind is they have open air concerts in the auditorium in the park directly adjacent to the apartment

Comfortable apartment in very good location. Access to rooftop pool and restaurant Nextdoor was a big plus!
Pros: The location was good for restaurants, shopping, close to the promenade and a nice park. The apartment was very spacious and had a nice balcony.
Cons: The mattress could have been more comfortable. The living room needed more seating. Larger sofa or an extra lounge chair. Construction on building next door.

Pros: Great location in the city center. The apartments are nice and clean. Own underground parking is a great advantage.
Cons: Be prepared to wake up to heavy construction noise from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM, right behind the apartment wall. The reception is located at a nearby hotel, so be ready to figure out that little quest as well.

Good apartment in great location
Pros: The apartment was good, with a nice view from the balcony
Cons: Unfortunately a construction site next to the boundary wall was very noisy. This was not something the Manager was aware of at the time of booking and throughout she and the other staff were exceptionally helpful and polite and tried to find a resolution.

Pros: Very beautiful, in good taste, newly renovated apartment. Very central, close to many places of interest. Spacious rooms, comfortable mattress. Very well equipped. A pleasant view of the municipal garden from the small balconies.
Cons: The apartment is very close to the hotel where you receive the keys. 1. This should be communicated as when you come with heavy suitcases, even a few meters are far. 2. The Waze gets the taxis to the entrance from Bistro which is not always open. It seems that update is needed for the sake of taxidrivers
