Funchal Arcadas Apartment by MLV

Pros: The apartment was in a great location close to the cathedral and many restaurants and bars. The check in and contact with the host was very smooth and they were extremely helpful. The apartment was very clean, spacious, well maintained and equipped. There was a lovely balcony that overlooked the gardens and the small streets. The Christmas lights and decorations were wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Cons: Everything was perfect.

Great place right in the center

Pros: It is a great house, right smack in the centre. Easy to get to everywhere. They have all the gadgets. Kettle, coffee machine, fridge, toaster, owen, microwave. Great service as I asked for an airport transfer as well. They picked me up, gave me the keys and whenever I needed help they immediately answered

Cons: The only issue is that you need to check out before 10. But we handled it because they stored my bag somehow until I left

Top choice.

Pros: Brilliant quiet but central location and views of the gardens. Feels like a well-kept, tastefully done home of your best friend more than it does a rental apartment.

Very nice place to stay

Pros: Good location, comfortable bed, well equipped apartment in general, very responsive contact person, the apartment had a character to it :)

Cons: The mosquito net in the bedroom was broken but I am being picky now, also some towels vere stained

Spacious, comfortable apartment in central location by park

Pros: Lovely spacious, well-equipped apartment with large comfortable balcony. Central location

Cons: Parking arrangements were complicated by host not being available and could have been explained better before arrival. Parking was convenient once we knew where to go and parking spaces was available

Pros: Good location adjacent to municipal gardens. Close to cafes and bus stops.

Cons: Shower in bath. I prefer a separate shower that does not involve climbing into and out of the bath.

A very nice apartment

Pros: Location is great. The parking is comfortable, right under the building. A very cozy balcony, a coffee machine and a washing machine.

Cons: The balcony door could not be closed, I felt a bit nervous about that, I couldn’t leave my documents or anything precious in the flat because of this. Also, someone phoned me twice at night, that was scary, but this is not the fault of the owner

Excellent

Pros: Apartment is very spacious and cosy. It’s nicely decorated too. I find all the utilities that I needed.

Cons: Be aware that water gets cold in the evenings, so forget about late night warm baths 😊

Pros: Very cozy and clean apartment with a wonderful view from balcony. Good private parking. Big shopping mall for a food and for other stuff very close - can be seen from balcony. Location can't be better. Kitchen was well equipped.

Cons: Bed was bit hard for me.

Home from home. Super well located and well equipped with very useful parking in the same building.

Pros: Excellent location a 5 minute walk to the centre of Funchal and the port area. Right by Blandys Wine cellars and the municipal garden Very comfortable and homely decoration. We had a hire car so the parking was very useful.

Cons: The bathroom was spacious and comfortable but there was not enough hot water to use the bath; which had been one reason to choose the apartment
