Oásis Suites - Funchal

A lovely apartment outside of Funchal with easy access to the main roads to explore this wonderful island.

Pros: Lovely, spacious apartment, clean with good facilities. Nice balcony which caught the morning and evening sun. On site parking was great. Short walk to the bus stop for Funchal and a 20 min walk or short drive to the lovely bay Câmara de Lobos. Dory was really helpful.

Great apartment and lovely host but a little out of the way.

Pros: Lovely apartment. Very quiet location. Dory the host was so lovely and helpful. The welcome basket was lovely and thoughtful.

Cons: It is not a criticism of the apartment or the location but we maybe would have been better being nearer Funchal or another big town. We did not want to hire a car and although it was very easy to get taxis the buses were not very reliable or as regular and frequent as some other routes and we got stuck a couple of times.

Pros: it’s very modern and clean, with all amenities necessary, even parking! the view is amazing and the location was the best!

Awesome apartment!

Pros: Everything was great: very clean apartment that had everything we needed (cooking utensils, coffee machine with coffee capsules, salt, pepper and oil; shampoo, conditioner and shower gel), good location with parking but also a bus stop nearby, a terrace with a great view, friendly and helpful host.

Pros: I liked the location and that we had private parking.. and the owner was very helpfull and friendly

Cons: Review: I recently rented this apartment and was disappointed with the experience. Based on the photos and description, I expected a unit with a balcony and a nice view. However, when I arrived, I was given a ground-floor apartment with no view at all. No one informed me of this change beforehand, which I believe should have been clearly communicated. Transparency is important, and had I known, I might have made a different choice. The place itself was okay, but the lack of communication and mismatch with the listing really affected my stay.

Relaxing apartment with wonderful view!

Pros: At our arrival the host surprised us with fruits, a bottle of Madeira wine and bolo de mel. The apartment Is really nice with a wonderful view. The kitchen is equipped with cutlery, pots and pans, even napkins and a bottle of water. The bathroom is small but nice. It's located 6-8 min drive from the city centre or 5 min from Camara dos Lobos and provided with a parking lot (you absolutely need a car to reach the place).

Would happily stay again

Pros: The apartment was very clean and everything looked new. Lots of fresh towels and a well fitted kitchen. Comfortable bed and access to a balcony area with outdoor furniture. The Aircon was very cold which was great for us and the shower had good pressure and hot water. Secure parking spot provided. We asked for self check-in as we were arriving late and Diana was very helpful with all the info we needed sent to us on WhatsApp. She was very quick to reply to any questions we had and was helpful throughout our stay. Bus stop outside which will bring you into Funchal centre. We walked down to the promenade and beach from our accommodation using a steep walking path behind the bus stop. We would be happy to stay here again.

Cons: The drive into the accommodation is on a very steep and tight corner but this is very common in Madeira. We drove a rental car for a week and found that a lot of the residential roads are very steep and narrow. We had no problems accessing the accommodation but it is worth a mention. If you have walking problems you may find the steepness of the entrance road from the bus stop challenging but it is a very short walk.

Perfect place to stay!

Pros: It was incredible , the owner was lovely, very available and friendly, the apt was spotless and the location was perfect, definitely worth it!

Cons: Nothing ☺️

Pros: The view, the layout of the apartment and the provided fruits, coffee, water which were a nice touch.
