Excelente T3 Duplex Funchal

Spacious city apartment

Pros: Spacious comfortable apartment with good view over city and out to sea. Great to have 2 bathrooms when family of 5 adults. Kitchen offered what we needed to cater in, we especially appreciated the dishwasher. Quiet neighbourhood, choice of small cafes nearby, & fruit shop. Easy downhill walk into centre - steep back up but local taxi or Bolt about 5-6 euros. Good base for the central attractions, exploring the city and waterfront, and buses to get out of Funchal too. Jorge easy to communicate with and very accommodating for our delayed arrival & also let us have later check out.

Cons: Unusual having to arrange payment by bank transfer but worked out OK.

Pros: We had a perfect stay. Everything you need is at the appartment. Private parking as well. And in 15 minute you walk to Funchal downtown area.

Nice stay near the centre of Funchal

Pros: Good accommodation with nice interior. Clean, good size and great view. Good size bathroom. About a 20-30min walk to areas of Funchal town. Coffee machine and laundry available for use. Staff were very nice and responsive. Free underground parking available.

Cons: Payment by cash but deposit required to bank account or PayPal at time of booking. Doing a bank transfer just made me feel a bit uncomfortable especially with all the fake requests that go through booking.com. I would prefer if payment was made directly through the booking.com platform. Accommodation is uphill from town.

Pros: We stayed at this lovely apartment in Funchal for 7 nights over the New Year celebrations, and it was a fantastic experience! The apartment is located in a quiet residential area, offering beautiful views of the sea and cruise ships from the balcony. It’s about a 15-minute walk downhill to the harbour and 10-minute to the shopping area. The return stroll uphill takes around 30 minutes, but we often used Bolt, which was both inexpensive and very reliable. Our host, Jorge, was incredibly friendly and welcoming, ensuring we felt right at home. We also enjoyed visiting the local bar just around the corner – a great atmosphere with friendly locals – and the nearby shop was equally welcoming. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this apartment for anyone looking for a peaceful base with easy access to all that Funchal has to offer.

Cons: The kitchen could have been better equipped - not enough knives and no scissors. The lack of scissors is an issue when you travel with hand luggage only.

Pros: Everything was perfect, owner of the flat is very kind and helpful person. We had a great time in Madeira.

Pros: - excellent inside parking lot was very convenient, - it is always interesting to see how some locals live and the layout of their apartments. this accomodation was a duplex, but since there were only three of us, we primarily utilized the lower level. We had a good night's sleep, as the mattresses and beds were comfortable and met our needs. - the kitchen was fully equipped

Cons: - bathroom could use some upgrades, as it showed signs of wear and tear from previous use. overall, everything was satisfactory, and we enjoyed our stay

Pros: Good location, modern and spacious apartment with everything you need.

I would stay again.

Pros: The apartment was large. I travelled with 2 other friends. We had 2 double bedrooms and master bedroom. The place was clean. The kitchen had all needed amenities, plus there was a washing machine available. We also had a garage- that gave us extra peace when we rented a car.

A lovely apartment with a nice terrace and parking and with a very accommodating owner.

Pros: Its a very comfortable & spacious apartment with a nice little terrace. It was great to have 2 bathrooms. Underground parking was a big plus too.

Pleasant stay.

Pros: Flat was on 2 floors. Lower floor had living room, kitchen with dishwasher, 2 rooms each with 2 single beds, bathroom. To the top floor you walk on twisty little stairs and it opens to spacious bedroom with double bad and another bathroom. There is also private parking in garage and also enough space for parking outside. City centre is in walking distance, most of restaurants, cable car to botanic gardens and big bus station in 15-25 minutes but walk is starting in steep hill - but that's the way Funchal is - built in mountain :) Host was very helpfull last day helping us with language. Pleasant stay.
