Pros: Location is close to Porto Moniz and other places. The room was ok, quite small, but with private bathroom and shared balcony.

Cons: The building is quite old, and not renovated in a long time. It was quite cold during the night, but there was additional cover, so it wasn’t a such a problem. There is not much to do in this area.

Fresh! Charming and cheap!

Pros: Pensão Fernandes is a characterful hotel tucked away in the mountains just up from Porto Moniz. If you are looking for an authentic Madeiran experience that you’ll remember, it’s great! Comfy bed, fresh mountain air wafting into the room, hot shower and great coffee in the bar below. Simple and good value for money. Daniel and his lovely mum won’t hesitate to sort you a taxi!

Pros: The quietness, the jovial staff and their willingness to make themselves useful, the store equipped with everything, the good ratio between quality and price.

Cons: As for the negative reviews that can be brought to the address of the location and the hosts, I can only say that I have read many of them, but I have still tested and the conclusions are that the authors of the negativisms are themselves scumbags, full of themselves and demanding with things and oe services that they do not have or do not offer in their own locations. When you are conceited, stupid and ill-educated, you cannot expect your masters to stand by your feet, for they are not your slaves. Those who do not know what to book or want to book, with little money, must learn that this is not possible. For the luxury class, many other locations in Madeira or in the world are at your disposal, but not at prices like those at Pensao Fernandes.
