Cons: The kitchen facilities were a bit limited.

Almost perfect!

Pros: All was good. Spacious and well equiped bathroom. Comfortabele spacious bed.Simple, but well equiped kitchenette.

Cons: One minor point for improvement: one might hit its head against the outwards extending extractor hood, especially because in extended position it's the only electric light source in the kitchenette.

Pros: Beautiful comfortable apartment 100m from sandy beach. Lovely restaurants close by and supermarket too. Great location for exploring the magical island of Maderia. Host was very generous and make us very welcome. We will return soon again.

We really enjoyed our stay and can highly recommend staying at Esmeralda's place.

Pros: The host Esmeralda is exceptionally friendly and helpful. The apartment has everything you need from a small, well-equipped kitchen to a hair dryer.

Cons: Due to the vicinity of the beach, it could be a little challenging to find a parking spot close by. But there is always one available somewhere within walking distance.

Great choice!

Pros: It was a great choice to stay in Chalé Esmeralda in Calheta for two weeks. Good location(next to nice sandy beach, 30 min. by car from Funchal), tidy apartment, washing machine was a big plus. It was amazing surprised about atention of host when I arrived. Thanks for that! Everytime we found good solutions for each other about everything. Big thanks, Esmeralda, I was happy there!:)

Beautiful home away from home

Pros: Very clean and beautiful property. Aircon and waterfall showers were a big plus!

Would stay here again, definitely recommend!

Pros: The flat was very well equipped with everything we needed and was very clean, comfortable and spacious. The location is fantastic, it's very close to the beach and shops but was nice and quiet at night. There was also a welcome pack with some food and drink which was a nice extra to have.
