Pros: house in a privileged location with views of the mountains and the valley; very clean and quiet; good public transport connections with bus 81 to and from Funchal; the interior is tastefully arranged, with everything needed for a comfortable stay; two terraces: one covered, the other one with direct sunlight; stable and fast internet access; pleasant welcome treat; comfortable bed; bathroom clean, with reliable hot water

Pros: Everything was super great! Big house, a lot of space. A white very talkative funny yard cat (probably the neighbor's) was also present at the location, free of charge :-)

Big, comfy house with the stunning views from the terrace and a number of nice hiking routes nearby

Pros: Amazing location. Just 20-25 minutes form Funchal. If you want to enjoy sceneries, fresh air then this is your choice for sure. Amazing host and communication. Big house with WIFI and terrace with a barbeque. 2 minutes drive to local shops and cafes. Hiking is just behind the corner. It was all amazing.

Cons: Hmm, actually nothing. That was above and beyond our expectations.

Pros: This place was extraordinary, the views from the balcony was incredible and the villa is close to the little village and a hiking trail. The place was very clean, cozy and perfect for longer stays

Amazing place

Pros: Wow! I didn't really research this place too much, I booked because it was a good price, so I was totally blown away. The view is like no other. The kitchen is excellent. It is right by the popular walking trail and bus stop. Solo travellers be careful around the more remote trails.

Views of the valley of the nuns

Pros: Great views, comfortable, clean and homely. Good facilities, plenty of space and nice touches such as board games. The location is pretty out there, but there are plenty of bars or supermarkets within walking distance and great hiking up the pico grande.

Cons: Bit of a pain to work out the key system, all colour coded and the place was a bit of a maze, so some instructions would have helped. Would be a fairly small bathroom if fully occupied. A bit cold even with all the bedding, although portable heaters were supplied. Tight doorways and stairs.

Authentic place with greate view

Pros: Authentic place, greate parking, fantaasitc view of the valley.

Great stay and views in a large, charming, older house

Pros: Great views from the terraces, nice and quiet if a bit remote location in the village, and a spacious charming house all to yourself

Cons: No complaints - a bit of optional descriptions as to which door should be opened to get to which part of the buildings could make the first minutes after arriving a bit easier, but one soon finds out through exploring, which is fun too. For bigger groups (there are 4 bedrooms) the bathroom situation might be a bit tight, but for smaller groups that's not an issue.

Enjoyed my stay at this property

Pros: Enjoyed my stay at this property as it was what I expected seeing the pictures.The view from the terrace is amazing.This property was clean and had all basic facilities.As expected kitchen was useful during my stay. Property host was very helpful and happy answering any questions. Secure Garage parking was also very useful even though the entrance is slightly tight for bigger cars. Overall experience was extremely memorable. The property is built on two levels and the washroom is located in the upper floor with enough rooms.

Absolutely great :)

Pros: This is the most charming place I've ever been in. The whole object is incredibely spacious with a lot of rooms and very well equipped. The kitchen has everything you need and even more :) there are 2 big terraces and because of the stunning view you will be very motivated to spend most of your time there. The internet was super fast and reliable, with zero outage. The bus stop is indeed literally at the aparment's door, which was very comfortable and you dont have to be afraid that you'll get lost. You have also a big garrage available in case you are coming by car. The whole city Curral das Freiras is super interesting and has true mountain village vibe. Restaurants/bars, groceries, museum, church, etc. all are around 15 min walk distance which was great :) I would recommend it to everyone and I would be very happy to come back again.
