Charming rural house with a beautiful garden and responsive host but be prepared for bugs

Pros: Great view from the balcony with a beautiful garden and the house had a lot of character. The kitchen was well equipped and the host was very responsive and helpful. A great base for exploring other parts of Madeira away from Funchal and it is good value for money.

Cons: There were lots of bugs in the house (centipedes and spiders) which is to be expected given the rural location. The narrow entrance driveway will be challenging for some to reverse down but we found it manageable.
