Pros: Philippe is a great host. Communication with him regarding the arrival was smooth. He will personaly greet you and give you a nice tour of his property. Then he will provide you with excellent recommendations about nearby restaurants, cafes, shops and bars. He will also give you great hiking tips and suggestions. The property is nicely located in the part of island which is not as touristy as Funchal and its surroudings. The view from the balcony of my house was amazing. House was nice and equipped with everything I needed for my stay. I higly recommend this place if you search for a nice and quiet base on your trip.

Pros: The location was magical, in calm area, surrounded by nature and with a breathtaking view of the ocean. The host was very friendly and helpful. He had prepared a wonderful guide packed with useful information, told us about the history of the place we were staying in and recommended us the best hiking trails!

The owner was very helpful proving us with many helpful tips for hiking, places to see, best schedule, best parking spot

Pros: The beautiful view, the quietness, the location, the private parking, fully equipped kitchen with the essentials (oil, salt, seasonings, etc), very nice renovated winery.

Cons: Not a problem for us but be aware that just like many other places on this island, the access road is very steep.

Pros: Stunning location,the best view from the house, wonderful host,nice swimming in the pool,a magic sunset seen from the balcony...simply perfect....

Pros: We really enjoyed our stay here! The location is simply breathtaking with a beautiful garden and very nice and comfortable equipped. We found everything we needed! Philippe is a great host, with loads of tips and recommendations for exploring the area - we just didn't have enough time to check all the spots :-) 5 stars, highly recommended! Wish to come back some day with some more time! No complaints whatsoever.

A beautiful place keeping perfect by a great man.

Pros: The structure is perfectly located in the road between Funchal and Porto Moniz, full of all amenities and with a gorgeous view. But the real plus is Philippe, a perfect host truly lover of this beautiful island and a strongly kind person. He gives to us all the advices, tips and local information that we need. A really great man that keeps with love this beautiful structure.
