The Blue House

Pros: Very good starting point Helpful and responsive house owner

Overall, it’s a great place to stay with an excellent location, convenient parking, a cozy atmosphere, and very good val

Pros: We really enjoyed the excellent location with a beautiful view and a lovely terrace. The convenient parking spot in the backyard was a big plus. There’s a grocery store nearby and plenty of local bars within walking distance. The kitchen was well equipped, making it easy to prepare our own meals.

Cons: The house is located near a bus stop, so the street can be busy during the day, which meant a little less privacy. However, since we spent most of the day out, it wasn’t a major issue. The apartment could have been a bit cleaner, but it didn’t cause us significant problems. The shower was slightly clogged during our stay, but we believe this has already been fixed.

It's OK stay for the money. Location is good but get used to the traffic noise from the busy road.

Pros: Location was good. Only 10-15min drive to Funchal centre. Internet connection was great. A/C was also good. Washing machine facilities were very useful. Overall it was a good experience, the host is very friendly and helpful. I truly believe the issues we experiences will be rectified by him for other visitors to come!

Cons: Amount of centipedes that make their way into the house over night. Lack of bathroom ventilation. Lack of water spill control in the shower area. The shower head holder that struggles holding the shower head. Door handles that are failing (be careful, do not latch any internal doors).

Great price for value. We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay at the blue house.

Pros: We experienced great communication from the host. The house was clean and well stocked with all the essentials one could wish for. Location is great as well.

Cons: There is only one fixed air conditioner in the bedroom. The cool air doesn’t reach the living room & kitchen. Another fan for these rooms would have been fantastic.

Pros: The house has an amazing view and a great location. It was also very clean. Easy self check in process. Private parking at the location.

Pros: The house was great, and the owner José was very helpful. He was very clear with the instruction for the check-in and in everything else, it was very appreciated!

Great place to stay with family

Pros: Small accurate house, beautiful view from the there

Cons: To close to road, much noise from cars Electrical problems, you cant use the air conditioner and the washing machine at the same time,

Lovely stay in Funchal at the Blue House

Pros: A lovely, small private house in Funchal. It's got everything you need for a comfortable one week stay. The owner is responsive and very helpful. Private parking right next to the accommodation. The house is located along a main road which makes it well communicated with places to visit in and out of Funchal. If you're sensitive to busy road noise, please bring your earplugs- you'll thank me later! :)

Pros: Very nice House in very good Location with lovely View. Owner is friendly and helpfull!

Pros: + Cosy and clean house + Beautiful pitoresque view + Easy and fast self-check-in process. + Very nice and helpful owner.

Cons: A little bit tricky parking (not good visibility to leave the gate to the main road), but we guess this is completely normal in Madeira.
