Excellent location!

Pros: A very warm welcome from Mirela. The house is very thoughtfully equipped, with everything I needed and some kind gifts. I made a lot of use of the little balcony - a perfect place to sit with your tea in the morning.

Cons: My only issue was the hot water in the shower was temperamental. Some days it worked fine, but others the heater wouldn't turn on. Trick: I found running the hot water in the downstairs bathroom basin would click the heater on, then I'd go upstairs and turn on the shower.

Good location and nice stay

Pros: Really good location near transport, restaurants and the sea. Host was available and helpful. Her restaurant was excellent! The house had what we needed for a few days stay. It was nice having the balcony despite the bad weather!

Cons: A bit dark inside and the hot water was never properly hot.

A very nice stay in the old town.

Pros: The location was very central but peaceful, plenty of room for a family for example, rooms on three floors. We enjoyed the balcony especially, you could hear live music from the nearby restaurants in the evenings. The apartment had all the essentials you need in a home away from home.

Cons: --

Pros: It is a nice place, close to the old town, restaurants, and beach. The kitchen is well equipped. The host provided coffee and welcome cake and wine free of charge. There is a nice balcony with flowing water for washing swimming clothes and shoes.

Cons: The place is quite noisy because many tourists and sometimes students from the close university pass the narrow street. (earplugs are advisable in case you prefer open windows at night :-)). But it is always a problem if you stay in the city center. Many advantages of this accommodation easily outweigh this small disadvantage

Perfect place to stay to explore Funchal

Pros: The location is right around the corner of the most charming street in Funchal old town. Couldn’t be better. Also the terrace was such a pleasant surprise with views over the city. We enjoyed our breakfast there with fresh pastries from the bakery around the corner. Also the owner Mirela is extremely kind and will help you with all your questions. They welcomed us with fruit and cake and they had nespresso coffee. Thank you so much Mirela!

Great place very close to restaurant and beach

Pros: Perfect location, very nice balcony where you can relax.

Nice appartment in the middle of Funchal

Pros: Nice appartment in the vicinity of the restaurants and beach/harbour side Nice terrace and fully equipped

Cons: Some things could use an update

Nice place to stay,would come back again. Perfect old town location.

Pros: Perfect location ,shops and bus and taxis nearby. Lots of restaurants just down the street

Comfortable and pleasant in a great location!

Pros: Location was great, very close to great amenities and great part of Funchal. Apartment was clean and had wonderful little extras, like soap and dish washing liquid. The balcony is awesome. Overall pleasant and comfortable accommodation.

Cons: Could have had one or two more mirrors (made it difficult to get ready with only having mirrors in the bathroom). Aircon would be good although there were fans in the rooms which helped a lot with the heat/humidity.
