Wonderful stay in Funchal

Pros: The apparatment has a very nice view over Funchal, in a quiet part of town and with a very nice balcony, very good kitchen with a lot of dishes and equipment for cooking. Only a few minutes walk to the port and shopping, bus, and old town.
Cons: The bedrooms looked bigger on the pictures. WC in one bathroom needs some repairs maybe.

Amazing vacation in Madeira.
Pros: The house is amazing, beautiful view to the city. The house was very clean, confortable and modern.
Cons: The only issue is the parking space. We rented a medium size car and it was very difficult to park it. But after few days it become easy.

Very enjoyable first visit to Funchal
Pros: The appartment is well equipped, very clean and comfortable, with a wonderful view from the terrace over the Bay of Funchal. It is within walking distance of the old town, and 10-15 minutes from the supermarket in the shopping centre. Communication with the host was straightforward. There are 2 SAM airport bus stops within walking distance (downhill) to return to the airport, one near the big shopping centre with supermarket, and one of Avenida do Mar. Recommend using a taxi to arrive.

Excellent stay and well equipped apartment
Pros: The apartment is fitted with everything you could need, there are even 2 bathrooms. It's an absolutely spectacular position to watch the annual New Year's fireworks display from with a great view of the cruise ship terminal and town below, as well as the hillside above.
Cons: The hill to reach the house and parking spot is quite steep, with a narrow street and tight turns. If you are renting a car, I'd highly recommend sticking to a group A or B car, as you may find it difficult to get the car in and out of the parking spot. Other than that, it is in a fantastic location

Cons: If sb has a car it’s realy steep and narrow to park there , but i think that’s the everyday Madeira routine everwhere else in the city 😂

Väl utrustad lägenhet med fantastisk utsikt.
Pros: Lägenhet med enastående läge och strålande utsikt mot soluppgången. Väl utrustad där vi framförallt uppskattade diskmaskinen. Som alltid i Funchal är det några uppförsbackar innan man kommer fram. Sista backen är smal och brant, men man ska inte låta sig avskräckas om man kommer med bil, man kommer upp. Dock måste man vara beredd på att backa ned (50 m kanske) för det går inte att vända. Boendet har parkering, men man får trixa lite för att komma in. (Vi hyrde en Seat Leon som precis fick plats, mycket större hade inte gått.)
Cons: Som sagt, bor man en bit upp med enastående utsikt är det brant också (se ovan). Men så är det i Funchal, och det är definitivt värt det!

Gut rangieren
Pros: Sehr sauberes Appartement, gut ausgestattet, die Lage am Berghang ist für Funchal sehr gut, nur für den Rückweg sollte man eine gute Kondition haben. Der Parkplatz am Haus, ist nur für kleinere Autos geeignet.
Cons: Der sehr enge Parkplatz, zum rausrangieren muss man mit einem größeren Auto rückwärts den Berghang zurück fahren.
