Delfina`s House

Pros: Very nice, cozy, spacious apartment, with a beautiful view over Machico. Clean, well equipped, plus the owner arranged for us fresh bread every morning. With a car it is easy to get there, if you do not have a car, you can walk 45min from Machico center (very nice walk) or there is a bus 113 stopping next by the appartment (just on weekends it does not go very often). We liked it a lot!

Cons: I just could not find a chopping board, but maybe it was hidden somewhere, otherwise the kitchen was very well equipped.

Pros: It was lovely spacious house. José was getting us fresh baguettes every morning. Very nice man met us at the airport considering we arrived 12 o'clock at night. Location is ok but need a car or taxi. Overall we were very happy.

Excellent base for long hiking on the trails nearby

Pros: The house is perfectly located as a place from where you can go on foot to several very attractive hiking trails. All of these trails have a loop option and you can return home by a different route. For guests with a car, there is also a very good and quick access to the levadas and trails in the area of ​​Santana and Sao Jorge and to the Sao Lorenco peninsula. You can get there earlier and much faster than from Funchal, which is very important if you want to find a parking space. In addition, in the morning there was always fresh homemade bread or buns waiting at the door.

Cons: This is not about the house, but about the public transport system in general. There is a bus stop next to the house, but you have no idea which buses stop there, there is no timetable and you don't know when you can expect a bus. This is the case all over Madeira. Only some bus stops have timetables and you can also find them online, but for many lines outside Funchal they are very imprecise.

Pros: Amazingly big house, equipped with everything. If you are using google maps as navigation, it will guide you about 100meteres below the house. Just continue driving few more meters

Pros: The house was really good. It is beautifull and you have everything you need. The owners were very friendly, they even bring us bread in the mornings. I am fascinated with this reservation. I will come back for sure!

Cons: There is a garage but you can not park the car inside, it is closed

Cons: Apartament tuż przy ulicy, więc wrażliwi na dźwięki słyszeli poranny ruch. Nie jest on duży, ale słychać.
