Pros: The house is huge, also very private. The terrace view is beatiful, excellent value overall.

Wondaful experience

Pros: We had a great time in this village, probably the house contributed to that too :). It is very spacious, too big for a single family, very simple, the kitchen and bathroom are not brand new, but they have absolutely everything you need; it offers access to 2 terraces, one in front and the other above the house; despite being on the street, in the center of the town, it offers privacy and quietness; good restaurants nearby.

Cons: The village seems isolated by high, steep peaks, it is winding, with narrow streets, access by car to the courtyard of the house is a bit difficult; you definitely need a car to go out and explore other attractions

Great vacation at memorable place.

Pros: The house looks old, but it adds a charm to it. It has a large space with an even larger sundeck. Lots of rooms. The kitchen is very well equipped. Sitting in a burning fireplace area feels nice in the evening. The host, Mr. Nuno, was very friendly and helpful. There is a driveway for two/three cars which can be closed for a night. The surrounding location is calm; there are a couple of restaurants and grocery stores. The views there are fantastic, as probably everywhere on Madeira.

Cons: Tiny detail. There are those downstairs on sundeck without the guardrail. There is only this white-red stripes tape surounding the stairs. I hope the guardrail will be finally installed there.

Pros: Beautiful location and very calm. Very friendly host, just 5 stars !

Pros: Lovely old property, comfortable and well equipped, with wonderful views over the adjacent village and sea. Great local walks and friendly restaurants, bars and small shops.

Cons: A bit more outdoor seating from which to enjoy the superb terrace and the sea view would have been nice.

Wonderful place for a family holiday in an unspoiled and interesting village

Pros: So spacious, simple but comfortable. Really well equipped. Excellent shower. The view from the huge terrace. Great location on the north side of the island but within east reach of Machico and Funchal. Great welcome from host Nuno. Parking is a real bonus.

Cons: Nothing, but a bit more outdoor seating and a few more mugs and glasses would be nice.

Pros: Heel ruim, verzorgd vakantiehuis. Mooi gerenoveerd. Het dorpje Porta Da Cruz is een gezellig dorpje zonder te veel toeristen met 2 kleine supermarktjes, enkele cafées, een apotheker, surfclub en een vijftal restaurantjes, waarvan 2 uitstekende door Nuno de huisbaas aanbevolen. Goeie ligging op 10 minuten van de luchthaven en een half uurtje rijden tot Funchal.

Cons: Heel weinig of geen opmerkingen. Wij waren met 2 personen. Met meer dan 4 personen zou er een grotere tafel en stoelen moeten bijkomen.
