Quiet rural property with good views

Pros: The house is very large, clean, well equipped, has private parking and a good view over the valley and the village of Santa Barbara. It is in a quiet rural location where time seems to go more slowly. It is near to two excellent beaches which have lifeguards, cafes and restaurants. We would certainly recommend this property to those who like to take things slowly and unwind. You really need a car to get to the property and to explore all that the island has to offer.

Authentiek huis op een mooie landelijke locatie. Veel privacy en rustige omgeving.

Pros: Veel privacy, groot authentiek en knus ingericht huis op een leuke locatie. Goede uitvalsbasis voor wandelingen of MTB-tochten. Op loopafstand een mini market met goede service. Alle voorzieningen aanwezig in het huis.

Perfecto viaje en familia en una casa estupenda, en un entorno muy agradable.

Pros: Todo. La casa con todos los utensilios, la amabilidad y disponibilidad de Isabel, siempre ofreciendo facilidades. Una casa muy bonita.

Cons: Nos gustó todo. Si acaso que costaba mucho cerrar los grifos, sobre todo el de la cocina, pero no era un problema grave para nosotros,

Excellent séjour

Pros: La situation en pleine campagne, le calme, la superficie de la maison, la relation avec la propriétaire (charmante)

Cons: Pour moi, le matelas était trop dur (mais je suis sensible !)

Pros: Schönes altes Haus, schöne Lage. Mit allem gut ausgerüstet.

Cons: Es war zu zwei Personen extrem teuer, aber wir haben nichts anderes auf der Insel gefunden. Wir wohnten schon oft im altes Landhaus , wir kennen es, dass es durch die Klima feucht ist, aber es war auch kalt, nichts hat getrocknet und auch die Sachen im offenen Koffer wurden feucht und schlecht riechend. Santa Barbara liegt in den Bergen, wo immer neblig ist.

Pros: A casa tem todos os equipamentos necessários para umas boas férias. Está muito bem localizada, numa freguesia muito bonita de Santa Maria. Muito próximo de um trilho PR. A anfitriã sempre preocupada que estivesse tudo a correr bem e que nada faltasse. Os vizinhos são super simpáticos até nos ofereceram um saco de batatas!!

Pros: Heerlijke plek, in het dorp aan de rand, groot dakterras, drie ruime slaapkamers en een fijne woon-eetkamer met relaxte (slaap) bank, volgens mij kun je hier wel met tot 9-10p slapen. Voor een gezin met 4 een bijzonder fijne luxe. 2 goede badkamers, alle voorzieningen en al boodschappen in huis. Super geregeld. En het nabij gelegen Praia de São Lourenço en restaurant Ponta Negra zijn geweldig!

Cons: Niets wat niet goed is, alles oké. Indeling en breedte van het tweepersoons bed zijn Portugees, anders dan de grootte wij gewend zijn in NL maar prima.

Pros: Gostamos muito da localização, da disponibilidade do anfitrião e do espaço.

Cons: A casa apresenta humidade, o que a torna menos acolhedora.
