Pros: The view from the house is breathtaking. Seeing the starts at night laying down in the sunbeds was priceless. Having breakfast (although too sunny due to the fact that there was no functioning umbrella/ shade) and dinner in the terrace with the view was wonderful.

Cons: The bed was too small for two persons and there was no shade in the terrace. There was a beach umbrella but was broken.

Pros: João is the friendliest host we have ever met! He was helpful in every single way and we can only recommend to stay at his place! The walk up is a challenge but definitely worth the view!

World class views in a remote beach town

Pros: This was the second place we stayed during our visit to the Azores and the only place we stayed at on Santa Maria. The town of São Lourenço is lovely and remote. The views from the property are amazing - pictures simply don't do it justice. We could have spent most days just hanging out on the front deck area if we didn't find the beach so compelling. There is a public hiking trail pretty much ride outside the door so you can either do the quick hike down into town or hike up and build up your hiking stamina!

Cons: A host book would be helpful as we had to reach out to the hosts several times for things such as where to park, where to find the flatware, and the password for the wi-fi. As newbies to the island we weren't exactly sure where to park so a quick map with a location down by the beach parking would be quick and easy for folks like us who were still figuring out the logistics of the island. We appreciated the responses from the hosts and this feedback is to help make things easier so future guests don't have to reach out for these sorts of things. The hike up to the property is very steep and not built for everyone (>10% grade). There are broken wood pallets with exposed nails along the route. This is NOT the fault of the property owners as the hike goes up a public hiking trail so just be aware of this situation. The bed is a bit creaky and is a true double for those folks who wonder if the size is suitable for them.

Top Lage, sehr ruhig, nettes Häuschen

Pros: Die wunderschöne Aussicht auf die Bucht, das Frühstücken und Sterne schauen auf der Terrasse

Cons: Das Bett könnte etwas größer sein, für 2 Personen schon sehr knapp Für den Zustieg ist wirklich leichtes Gepäck und gute Schuhe sinnvoll, da sehr steil und steinig WLAN funktioniert schlecht

Alles wunderbar bis auf das kleine Bett. Auch der Fußweg nach oben ist gut zu machen.

Pros: Super schön gelegene Unterkunft mit wunderschönem Blick und toller Terrasse. Drinnen ist es sehr klein, aber trotzdem alles da. Die Besitzer immer erreichbar und sehr hilfsbereit

Cons: Es ist wichtig zu wissen, dass es in dem Ort keine Einkaufsmöglichkeit gibt. Das Bett ist mit 1,20m für zwei große Menschen sehr klein. Das ist aber der einzige Minuspunkt

magnifique ; ça devrait suffire.....

Pros: situation géographique fabuleuse, oui FABULEUSE ! la maison est sans doute petite, mais bien pensée (on se demande juste pourquoi 15 tasses à café pour un gîte prévu pour 2 ? mais c’est un détail...) ; la terrasse domine la baie, on mange et se repose dehors. Le barbecue est top pour viandes et poissons connexion internet très bonne la plage (sable, exceptionnel aux Acores) est à 2 pas... mais il faut dévaler et remonter les 50 mètres de dénivelé ! bon, on a adoré le site et la maison

Cons: le débit de l’eau (chaude en particulier n’est pas top) ; on manque un peu de rangement pour les affaires perso ; mais c’est du détail par rapport à la satisfaction générale rien à dire sur les 50 mètres à grimper avec les bagages = nous étions prévenus !

Best Place

Pros: Die Lage ist wirklich einzigartig. Alleinlage auf einem Weinberg mit einem fantastischen Blick über die Bucht. Das Häuschen war sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet.

Cons: Es wäre schön, wenn der beschwerliche Aufstieg bereits in der Objektbeschreibung zu finden wäre und die Informationen darüber nicht erst nach Buchung erfolgt. Das Bett mit 120cm Breite war nicht optimal für zwei Personen.

Excellent place to enjoy Sao Lourenço

Pros: Fantastic view of the bay. Big comfy towels. Everything needed for a few days.

Cons: There’s no shade or shelter available outside, so if you’d rather stay out of the sun or sit outside in the rain, out of luck. This doesn’t matter if the weather is good but the house is quite small and feels smaller if staying inside too much. I’d still stay there again.

Die Lage ist einmalig, aber muss verdient werden.

Pros: Die spektakuläre Aussicht und die gemütliche Einrichtung.

Cons: Nichts.
