Belavista Da Luz - Wellness & Lifestyle Hotel

A great find. You will love staying here

Pros: A really exceptional hotel. Easy to find, quiet location just above the town. Excellent facilities, clean, well maintained, friendly helpful staff, excellent breakfast. Would definitely come back again. Great value for money. Thoroughly recommended.

Cons: Two guests, apparently being entertained by the manager the next day, smoking on the breakfast terrace next to us, despite knowing they were causing annoyance- we had to move to another table. No Smoking signs on the terrace would be helpful. A hand rail to exit the jacuzzi would be a good safety assist.

Met our needs for this trip visiting friends

Pros: It is a great hotel, breakfast was great, good location and nice staff. 1. We were told by the staff that dessert is included in dinner but actually it was not and we had to pay more for the ordered dessert. 2. We chose this hotel because of the Spa among other services, but the Spa was far away of being a Spa, it was cold, shower was cold, jacuzzi cold, Sauna was just warm and not hot, we left the Spa in a few minutes. We have been in different hotels, based on just our experiences in Spain and Portugal, you can have a real hot shower in your room's bathroom rather than the Hotel's Spa. For an unknown reason we ended up with cold Spas in all hotels, maybe it was just a bad luck.

The location is excellent and we did have a relaxing break. We feel that the hotel had lost its mojo

Pros: There are 2 outdoor pools that looked inviting although as it was Christmas we went to the indoor pool which was nice and warm. Our room was lovely with a balcony and plenty of wardrobe space. Fabulous shower and ample hot water. Nice little extra touch is a kettle in the rooms so you can make a coffee whenever you want to.

Cons: Breakfast! The buffet style breakfast was barely warm everyday. There were no warmed plates so by the time you sat down the food was cold. We stayed for Christmas 2024 and the breakfasts were perfect. The jacuzzi was broken and was still broken when we left.

Would surely recommend it to others

Pros: Small, but nice wellness (towel service included), good breakfast, nice staff. Coffee machibe, water and small fridge in the room.

Cons: I would prefer better coffee. In wellness we missed cooling barrel/ cold shower.

Pros: Lovely relaxed hotel. No problem getting a sunbed by pool in September with towels available from Reception. Good breakfast with hot food and fruit regularly topped up. Helpful staff. Look forward to returning. We didn't have a chance to try evening meal in restaurant as were meeting friends in Luz. c10 to 15 minute walk down hill to many great restaurants and beach in Luz and bit longer when walking back up hill! Easy to get an Uber into Lagos which was less than £10 one way.

Delightful little oasis on a busy stay in Luz

Pros: Exceptionally well run little hotel. Very clean. Nice and quiet too.

Cons: The climb up the hill!!
