Martinhal Sagres Beach Family Resort Hotel

We all loved it!

Pros: Perfect place to holiday in February! Surf, sunshine, morning swims, daily padel, amazing facilities and spacious accommodation.

Great family resort even off season!

Pros: As usual, amazing off season break. Loads for the kids to do. Properly heated pool by the beach.

Cons: There was a little bit of garbage outside our villa - cigarette butts, two napkins, a nail, a pack of sugar.... all the rest was perfectly clean as usual.

Pros: great playgrounds, gardens, facilities and beach. helpful and friendly staff.

Cons: overall a bit aged (but still clean). some houses could use a paint job, but that does not detract from the overall very positive experience.

Pros: Superb facilities, staff very attentive, quality of food excellent. All around exceptional place to relax as a family.

Pros: Amazing accommodation for families. Food was delicious, staff incredibly nice, all the comforts of a family resort but the feeling of an intimate vacation.

Cons: Indoor pool was quite cold and had no hot water in the showers during our stay (in February). This was not a one day issue, for five days during our stay we had no way to have a warm shower after swimming or after the gym. This is the only reason why I did not give this resort a 10...

Pros: amazing location next to the beach, nice gym, and a gaming room for the kids.

Cons: The two single beds in the kids room didn't had the same height.

Pros: direct beach access, very nice staff bike rental, kids facilities, spa, little market price ratio (paid about 1.5k for room and 1.5k extras. beach restaurant was fine

Cons: 1 room appartment are old (old baths), way too small gym, long distance from the edges from the resort (we took the car every day with the kids; hence offer cart service). main reception house restaurant is def not 5*, the rest is rather weal (3-4* standards) work with more fresh products

Pros: We had the most incredible stay at the Martinhal Family Resort in Sagres. From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect — the layout of the resort, the beautiful villa we rented, and the overall “village” feel that makes it so unique. The attention to detail in the villa setup made it feel both luxurious and homely, with everything we needed for a family holiday. The resort is designed with families in mind — truly kid-friendly for all ages, from babies to teenagers. We travelled with a 5-month-old and a 12-year-old, and both were perfectly catered for. The range of pools, restaurants, and activities for children and adults alike meant there was always something to enjoy together or separately. The staff were fantastic — warm, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. Every interaction added to how special the experience felt.

Beautiful, fun, and well looked after family holiday in gorgeous Portugal

Pros: Absolutely amazing destination for holidays with kids, with plenty of options to keep entertained whilst being next to a glorious beach with amazing luminosity. In October the heated pools meant we could still have a fantastic time outdoors. Our daughter loved the kids club.

Cons: One tiny point - we arrived midweek and most of the dining options were already fully booked for dinner and breakfast which was not ideal. More forewarning of this to allow to book ahead would have been useful

Great stay! Relaxing atmosphere and very kids friendly!

Pros: Relaxing resort, as the property has many different and some have private pools it never feels crowded. Pools and beach are great.

Cons: Gym is not well equipped for resort of this seize and category. Fits more to 3 star hotel than 5 star experience. Walking distances are sometimes very long and there are not a lot of buggies available to give you ride.
