Perfect vacation.

Pros: A large and comfortable house with everything you need for a longer stay. 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a very nice pool. Private parking. Great view. The location on a hill makes it a bit cooler than on the coast which is perfect in summer. It’s a very quiet area, still not far from Funchal (30 minutes by car) and a good base for the car trips. Very good communication with the host, who replies quickly. We enjoyed our weekly stay very much.

Spacious house in Arco da Calheta

Pros: We had a fantastic stay at Migs place. The house is a lot more spacious than expected. Location was great and was a short walk to the supermarket and cafes. Pool was an added bonus. Super easy instructions for collection of the keys. Would most definitely stay at Migs place again! Thank you Miguel for hosting us ☺️

Great place to stay to avoid the crowds of Funchal.

Pros: Space inside and outside. Dishwasher, washing machine, bath (not used) shower. Secure off street parking Swimming pool. Wifi Host responded quickly to a few queries.

Cons: We prefer a table and chairs rather than breakfast bar to eat at when inside.

Reasonable price - worth it.

Pros: Quiet place, close to many beautiful trails & places. Enough space, 2 bathrooms help a lot. No complaints.

Nice place to stay, but not superb... Beds too soft and not comfortable.

Pros: Mig's Place is centrally located on Madeira, a 5-minute drive from the center. What is super nice is the private parking space at the house, which is easily accessible. The sitting area and TV were also fantastic! The swimming pool is probably great in the summer, but in December the water was too cold.

Cons: What we didn't like was the bed in the largest bedroom. I have rarely slept so badly in my life. The bed is way too soft and you lie in a hole. We tried bedroom 2; there the bed was a little better, but still not really comfortable. There was also a dog in the neighborhood that kept us awake at night with its barking. Furthermore, there was only an ocean view from the bedrooms and not from the living room or the pool/terrace, because there are buildings that block the view. That was a shame, because during this holiday we had only booked apartments with a sea view. Our preference was for Quinta Golfinho and Atlantis Country House, both near Calheta, both with superb ocean views and comfortable beds…

Awesome place for families!

Pros: Miguel was a superb host! We had a very good time! At Calheta Beach you can get some very good food for a very fair price. But we had also some good snacks in the evening in the close by snackbar! They were super friendly to our kids.

Cons: On one or two nights the dogs from the neighborhood were barking which was a bit annoying, but it was just short time and all over the rest of our stay we slept very good.

Pros: House, three befrooms, two bathrooms, quitetness, view.

Cons: No table.
