Casa Del Mar- Wonderfull Sea Views & Swimming Pool

Stunning location and very comfortable apartment.

Pros: The location and the views were absolutely amazing. The apartment is very well equipped and the beds were very comfortable. The main bedroom has a huge sliding glass door opening up onto a large balcony which overhangs the sea pwith crashing waves. Beautiful!!

Cons: The location and access to the property was difficult to find with no number or name on the entrance gateway and any instructions were not very clear… pure guess work getting the right property!! During our stay we had a serious problem with the Electric fuse box which we reported but it took over 24 hours for the guest ready service to arrange for it to be repaired therefore leaving us without electricity for that 24 hr period .

Pros: Beautiful house and surroundings. It was such a pleasure to wake up seeing this view. Just wow.

Cons: The biggest drawback of the house is the musty smell.

Pros: It's wonderful to stay in a beautifully designed, fully and tastefully furnished holiday home when the owners are away. Spectacular immediate and wider location. Great local walks.

Mostly very good and we would go again but do read my 'downsides'.

Pros: Fantastic house to look at, like out of a magazine. Quiet and spectacular views. good parking on the property, good aircon.

Cons: Very bad hosts, did not respond to many messages before arriving re how to find it and parking. Half way through the holiday before responding to many unanswered calls on their 'emergency' line about a blocked shower drain ( I had to do it myself) and a cockroach problem from a locked cupboard. The outside space is a long way via various steps from the living area. No furniture at all on the two big balconies, Nowhere to store clothes in the tiny 3 ground floor bedrooms if you use those rooms. The house says it is child friendly in thje details, luckily we did not bring children, if we had we would have been terrified as there are lots of dangerous areas inside for young ones and the infinity pool has tremendous unguarded drops on two sides.

We had our perfect small holiday and all expectations well exceeded here!

Pros: The house is literary at the ocean. One can wake up and go to sleep with waves and early morning till late evening sun! Nice and green territory, great and perfectly located swimming pool, large terraces and territory nearby but good hidden from street. Large windows that can be opened so that the terrace enlarges the room. Very cozy furnished and very well-equipped inner rooms with some design chairs, sofas and dishes. Separate playroom in basement floor with piano and tv. There are some nice levadas around and possibility to walk or bike almost till Porto Moniz near the ocean from here if one can manage some short rock damaged road parts.

Cons: 1) There was some lousy maintenance or connections fail of internal house canal, so if the windows were closed, the whole house stank, pretty annoying... we managed it somehow by keeping windows open most of the time, but in our opinion this is a total fail in such a house! 2) Not all the cool and great terrace window elements were lockable. We wrote this to house manager and got very fast respond. As we didn't have any valuable belongings, immediate repair was not necessary. 3) All the floors in bathrooms and some other areas were totally dirty by our arrival... with all the available more than enough towels it was possible to cover all baths and later wash and dry the towels but in our opinion this is a total fail of housekeeping. 4) Maybe not really relevant, but in our opinion, Terrace foundations would need some structural improvements next years against high waves. We definitely would love to enjoy the terrace and the property as a whole sometime again! We really enjoyed our stay and the property exceeded well our expectations, thus we managed these faults so that they didn't disturb us, but anyway these are some lousy maintenance and housekeeping things that disturbed and doesn't really belong is such property.

Pros: Better in reality than in the pictures!! Amazing views, amazing villa with panoramic windows. There is everything you need! Lots of art inside the house. Newest equipment. Super costly town and super friendly people there. We are already thinking of coming back! 🙂

Wellicht de mooiste plek van Madeira!

Pros: Alles! Het huis, het uitzicht, het zwembad… Dit hadden we niet zo mooi verwacht. Heel fijn dat we hier mochten verblijven. Wakker worden met zonsopkomst is echt geweldig.

Cons: Eigenlijk niks, alleen ruik je wat muffe lucht van de kelder. Gelukkig kan de schuifpui geheel open.

Een topbestemming !

Pros: Het uitzicht is fantastisch en verandert dagelijks naargelang de weersomstandigheden. Een mooie tuin geeft toegang tot het huis. Het huis is zeer rustig gelegen, je hoort enkel de golven. Tot rust komen en genieten, het is er gewoon prachtig. Alles is aanwezig voor een aangenaam verblijf. Ik zou het aanraden aan vrienden.

Cons: Een trapleuning tegen de muur zou wel een hulpmiddel zijn voor oudere gasten. Informatie geven over de insecten (kakkerlakken, mieren) die kunnen aanwezig zijn is aangeraden. Dit is niet verbonden aan de accommodatie zelf, maar eigen aan de streek.

Pros: Překrásná prostorna vila vkusně a účelně zařízená s terasou hned nad oceánem, bazén s posezením a překrásným výhledem na oceán, skály a kostel. Majitelé hned reagovali na všechny dotazy. Mila vesnice s restauracemi i obchodem. Vše super, byli jsme nadšeni a určitě bychom se sem rádi jednou vrátili ! Děkujeme!

Těšíme se na viděnou zase někdy příště

Pros: Ubytování v krásné vile přímo u oceánu (místo s dokonalým výhledem, skvělý bazén, čistý design, možnost dokonalé relaxace v okruhu blízkých, lokalita v klidné / příjemné vesnici - popř. i s možností procházky po v průvodci vyznačené trase do vesnice vedlejší). Tzn. těšíme se na viděnou zase někdy příště.
