Madeira Island Villa Oceane Ribeira Brava

Pros: I wholeheartedly recommend this excellent accomodation! We had the whole villa just for ourselves. The terrace offered a breathtaking view over the ocean and the sunrise seen from the terrace is a lifelong memory. The kitchen was well equipped, the mattress very comfortable, rooms were very spacious and cosy, each of them with a different theme/design. When we got there late in the evening, the house was so welcoming: the heating was on, the lights in the living room were turned on....we just had the feeling that someone was waiting for us to welcome us home.

Excellent! You won't regret! The best choice evere!

Pros: The location takes your breath away. It is very well equipped, just like home. An oasis of relaxation. Words are too few, please live this experience of staying here.

Pros: Awesome location with a beautiful view over a valley and the ocean towards east (of course, to get up there is a bit of a driving challenge as probably anywhere in Madeira :)). The house had all the we needed and the rooms were comfortable, plenty of towels available. As a bonus, esp. for our guys, was a Snack Bar next door with very friendly prices.

Pros: Really nice accomodation!! Even better than expected. Big house with everything you need (enough towels, spices in the kitchen, toilet paper,…)

Great spot to explore the south coast of Madeira during the day and relax at night.

Pros: Great, quiet location high on the coast with a great view over the ocean and the coast. House is spacious with a well-equipped kitchen, comfy bedrooms/bathrooms/salon and a garage. The terrasse is the main point of this house and includes a barbecue. Great location to explore the south coast of Madeira. Host was easy to reach and to deal with.

Cons: Not much wood for barbecue and not that dry either so had to buy charcoal the following days. The two, small umbrellas provided are not enough for 4 people to get proper cover from sun on the big terrasse. The 1st floor is useless (huge but empty and gets hot during the day).

Pros: A lovely villa positioned high up with amazing views of the ocean

Pros: - amazing views all around from the terrace - handy to have a garage for the hire car (and you want a car as it's high up the hillside) - it was spacious enough for the two of us

Cons: - time to spend some money on the property in my opinion: bedsheets and covers feel flimsy and thin, there is a mountain made of protruding floor boards in the living room that needs fixing (trip hazard potentially), whiffs of sewer / drain smell gently emanating from the bathrooms occasionally

Pros: Wonderful view, all of the house is yours)) but owner has to make something with laminate, because it's a little bit dangerous, especially for small children

Pros: Perfect view, but accessible only by car or taxi- far from Ribeira Brava. Very good bar beside!!!!

Pros: Spacious house with 4 bedrooms and a breathtaking view from the terrace. A private parking garage was an extra advantage. The kitchen was fully equipped and we even had BBQ in the garden. For chilly nights we used the electric heaters provided. The host was helpful and shared many useful recommendations on bars and restaurants in the neighborhood.

Cons: We came across little worms which entered the house but it was probably due to the humidity and rain.
