Apartamento Maria

Pros: Owner was really friendly and prepared for us fruots and cake to welcome us. Appartment was big and clean.

Pros: Decent location but you will need to rent a car to get there as it is not walkable. Beautiful view of the sea from the sea from the balcony. The host was very kind and available if we needed them. Lora of facilities available in the property and close to a really great restaurant and shop nearby.

Cons: Unfortunately I did not find the bed very comfortable at all, but that is a personal preference and I’d say that the check in and check out times were not great. Checking in at 16:00 and checking out at 10:00 was not very reasonable.

A very large and clean apartment that allows you to visit the eastern side of the island.

Pros: This is a huge apartment - there is plenty of room inside it. The kitchen is also very large and you can find anything you need. The host is very friendly and helpful. The location is great if you travel by car as you can easily have access to some trails that are available in the eastern side of the island. However, it is difficult to accomodate here if you don't have a car. There is free parking in front of the house.

The host Maria was lovely and kind. The property met all of our expectations and more. Awesome!

Pros: The apartment was spacious and homey, equipped with everything we needed for a hiking vacation in Madeira. We loved that the kitchen was big for cooking meals at home, and the washing machine is an added bonus to quickly clean sports clothes. Our host welcomed us to the property as soon as we arrived, showed us everything we needed to know. Maria also provided us with fresh eggs, a plate of fruit waiting for us, a pastry and cookies, which were all absolutely delightful.

Perfect to stay in Madeira short and long term

Pros: The place is spacious, clean, well equipped, and amazing views of the coastline. Big comfortable beds, nice new furniture, everything you need in the kitchen room and a big bathroom. Ponta do Sol and Madalena do Mar are only 5/10 min drive away, good markets and cafes in the area are walking distance. We also enjoyed a delicious homemade cake, coffee, and fresh fruits offered by the host

A verty nice apartment provided a great introduction to the Island

Pros: The apartment was excellent and the host, Maria, and her family very friendly and helpful. The apartment was very clean and well equipped. We stayed 8 nights and it worked well, breakfast and a couple of main meals taken in the apartment but the the equipment was suitable for all meals to be prepared. For our arrival Maria left a welcome pack of fruit, biscuits and cake. The location was good for us , with a car, to get to walks in the centre, west and north of the island. The Apartment is on a through road so there is traffic but not so much that it was a problem. A great bonus is being just 100 metres from the bar / restaurant Planalto!

Cons: Pillows were very firm

Maria was an amazing host and the house was very comfortable with an amazing view and relaxing place.

Pros: It was very clean and spacious. All the equipement was properly working and comfortable.

Cons: Although the furniture was of high quality, it was a bit of old style from the 1990s.

Pros: Anfitriões muito simpáticos. Deixaram cesta de fruta e bolo caseiro... Foi uma surpresa muito boa à nossa chegada. AL bem localizado e muito confortável. Recomenda-se 👍🏻

Comfortable and sunny

Pros: Very hospitable host, received us at late night and even made us sandwiches (and extra bananas since we loved them so much). Sunset views, with sunshine throughout the day. Clean and has everything we needed, especially the washing machine.

Cons: The communication before arrival was a little lagging (although quick through booking.com, the WhatsApp communication with the actual host was slow). There was also a hiccup with the number of guests which booking.com (not the host) was trying to charge us extra to fix. The location takes about 15 min of mountain driving to get in or out (and do not follow Google maps suggestion, navigate to Galp first so it can follow a nicer road).
