Suite Hotel Jardins Da Ajuda

Pros: My third time in this hotel.Inside pool with sauna open all day,very good and in connection to outside pool area.Breakfast,exellent selection.Good situation,neaby shopping center,cafees,good restaurants,beautiful seaside walks

Very comfortable in balmy Funchal

Pros: Well young people might find it a bit dated, but it was a very spacious suite , it was very well located and had good facilities and right beside the forum shopping centre .

Cons: Dining room staff super clueless about gluten and coeliac disease

Old but Gold

Pros: Lovely breakfast, pool and surrounding gardens great. Sauna was a treat. Rooms spacious and clean.

Cons: Carpets could do with being replaced in the corridors.

A wonderful stay in beautiful Madeira

Pros: Good location. Large rooms. Very helpful staff. My upgrade to a studio. Loved having a bath as I hurt my back during my stay.

Cons: Rather dated but functional. I don’t rate the restaurant at all. Breakfast was included but I only ate there once for breakfast and once for dinner. Artificial juice and reconstituted eggs to make scrambled eggs is a big no no. I went to the nearby Pingo Doce, got groceries and made my own breakfast. Dinner buffet was also not great. A limited range of salad for starters. Small range of sliced meat and fish for main with rice, potatoes and tinned vegetables. The highlight was the fresh fruit salad for dessert. At a cost of almost 30 euros 😢 Go and eat in the wonderful Indian restaurant next door. Fantastic food 🤩

Decent value for money

Pros: Very good value for money, twin room was larger than expected with a little kitchenette and we had a nice balcony with a view of Funchal in the distance. Staff were very friendly and the included breakfast filled a gap. Parking was very cheap, in an underground parking lot that the hotel arranged.

Cons: It would have been nice to have some complimentary still water on arrival in the room and maybe some tea/coffee in the room - it makes a huge difference and would not be a big cost for the hotel to do. The fridge was also not very cold. Exterior and interior of the hotel could use some renovation but it's not something I cared too much about. Slight damp/sewage smell on the 6th floor corridor which disappeared after entering our room thankfully.

First time beyond expectations

Pros: The location was perfect. Shopping mall across the road and at the bottom of the hill was a walkway along the ocean.

Cons: I honestly say there was nothing to dislike except for the pillows.

Pros: Everything the staff in the reception bar restaurant and entertainment were outstanding nothing too much trouble and room cleaner .courteous professional made my stay nothing too much trouble !! Will definitely be back and recomend the hotel😃

Pros: Location great near restaurants bus to funchal city centre and right beside big shopping centre and supermarket. Lovely indoor pool and outdoor pool and very nice garden area.

Cons: Pity very dated decor and furniture right through Hotel

Pros: The space was very large and comfortable also there was a mini kitchen which was a perfect blend of an hotel and an apartment for me
