Apartamento Princesa Dona Amélia by An Island Apart

Nice apartmet with its own parking spot. Good for long term stay in Funchal.

Pros: Nice view over the Harbour and sea. The apartment comes with its own parking spot in the garage. Even though the location is not really in the city center, there are plenty of restaurants near by.

Cons: The apartment could use some updating. The shower rail was very loose. It comes down down to that from 2 meter distance everything looks fine. But if you come closer you can clearly see some things need some attention of replacing.

Pros: \

Beautiful island of Madeira, vibrant Funchal, excellent location, well appointed apartment, shame about the noise.

Pros: Excellent location, clean and comfortable, including everything a family needs in the kitchen for an easy stay in Funchal.

Cons: Although this is only a temporary issue - the current building work directly outside and beneath the apartment was extremely noisy from very early in the morning, to 7pm each evening. This really impacted our holiday and was at times very uncomfortable. There should have been information about this in advance. The building work is extensive and will be going on for a long time, so be warned!

Excellent. Would like to return.

Pros: Big apartment, clean and everything we needed, great location, sea view, very nice restaurants and bars nearby. The hosts were very helpful and accomodating.

Pros: Close to the centre. Spacious well stocked apartment

Cons: A bit noisy but we were warned of building works before we set off.

Beautiful place

Pros: The apartment is exactly like the pictures and we had a lovely stay there. I would definitely stay there again if and when I come back to Funchal. The view out the balconies was beautiful and very relaxing after a day of sight-seeing.

Cons: Having to leave. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Super place to stay in Funchal

Pros: Nice, clean apartment very close to city center. There are a lot of restaurants and shops in close proximity.

Cons: Sometimes it might be a little bit noisy because of port nearby.

Would certainly book again

Pros: Good location and supplied lots of extras we didn’t expect very thoughtful.

An exceptional apartment a stone’s throw from everything with magnificent sea views - magical.

Pros: Great location with easy access to everything, all within walking distance. Joana and Bernardo were superb, and we appreciated the accommodation for a later check out very much.

Cons: Nothing, all the comforts from home were available.
