Exceptional appartment within 5 minutes walk of old town Funchal

Pros: Owner met us at the airport and took us to the property, on the way he gave us a small tour of the area, pointing out useful shops and offered recommendations on restaurants. He also recommended to use Bolt for taxi's if needed - far cheeper than a taxi.. This appartment in a a quiet area of town but you feel like you get to see the true Funchal as the walk into town takes you past local sports centres and colleges as well as art galleries and bars. The apartment itself has a lovely covered veranda, perfect for breakfast, relaxing and reading or evening drinks prior to a walk into town.

The high quality apartment and its excellent location ensured we enjoyed a memorable holiday.

Pros: The apartment had all the facilities we required for our six nights stay in Funchal. It was spotlessly clean and its top floor position meant it was proportionately very quiet, bearing in mind its close proximity to the Old Town with its array of great restaurants. From the start of the booking procedure, communication with Marcos was excellent. Marcos was a friendly, helpful and courteous host.

Cons: The only slight drawback was the private underground car parking, which could present a challenge for a less confident driver. Having said that, given the first class local bus service, there is little need to rent a car for a visit to Funchal.

Pros: The property is located within easy walking distance from the old town and the sea-front. The old town has numerous restaurants and bars.

Cons: There is some traffic noise (though this dies down at night).

Fabulous apartment

Pros: Very nice comfortable apartment everything you could need in the apartment ,cable TV,air conditioning in both living room and bedroom which was great

Pros: Spacious & modern apartment in a great location. Comfort exceeded expectation and Marcos was very welcoming & easy to contact.

Lovely stay in Funchal

Pros: It was a lovely stay, close to the city center. Marcos, the host, is very nice and reacts quickly if you need anything. Madeira is wonderful and would 100% recommend this apartment.

Lovely three week stay in this home from home

Pros: Very comfortable , well equipped apartment, close to all amenities. The.liaison before and during our trip was excellent. The option of being picked up from and returned to the airport at a small additional cost was very useful. The balcony and side seaviews were a bonus. The bed was very comfortable.

Cons: Nothing to dislike

Very good experience

Pros: The location is great, close to the city center, but away from the busy streets, shops/restaurants are all nearby. The apartment is very nice (even better than we expected from the pictures) and comfortable, clean, has good shower, enough space to relax (a terrace on a sunny side, a sofa, a comfortable bed and a dining table), the kitchen is fully equipped. AC works both for cooling and for warming up. We had a cleaning arranged on the day 4 of our stay here, which we appreciated a lot. We also read in other reviews about the noise from the street, which didn't really bother us much, the apartment turned out much quieter than we were prepared for. Marcos is a great host, helpful and available, the communication was him was very smooth, even during the busy holiday days.

Cons: The apartment is really very well maintained in general, but has few tiny inconveniences (i.e. if you turn the water in the kitchen while someone is in the shower, the shower water runs cold, etc.), which did not really spoil the good overall impression for us.

Felt like home!

Pros: We loved our stay! The apartment has a very homey feeling. You have everything you need, a beautiful balcony and it’s very close to the city center. The parking spot is definitely a plus (but I need to say it required some maneuvering to reach the garage area). Highly recommend, thanks Marcos!

Cons: The elevator was broken during our stay but this was a minor inconvenience for us.
