Berna Apartment

Pros: Location, parking available, communication with the owner was excellent

Very Nice apartment close to the city center with private parking

Pros: The Berna apartment is very close to the city center (10-15 min by foot) and there is a private parking which is convinient in Madeira. It is well equiped and confortable with a lot of space. There is also a nice terrasse where you can relax and eat, with a Nice view on the city n’and the ocean. Duarte and Melisa are very nice, giving all information we need. For sure, if we come back in Funchal we will select this apartment.

Cons: Maybe the noise when you are on the terrasse, but for us it was normal as we are in the city center. Inside the apartment (in the bed room), there is no more noise… it is quiet.

Fabulous would definitely stay again!

Pros: Gorgeous spacious apartment (bigger than pics) with amazing balcony! Host met us and was very welcoming. Great to have private car park space too

Cons: Sofa/ chair not the most comfy if you wanted night in, but we spent most the time out so not major issue

A good location for accommodation, spacious, well-located, and with parking, but it could be better equipped

Pros: A clean, spacious, well-located apartment in the center of Funchal, with parking space being a big advantage, and the host is friendly and willing to help if needed

Cons: The apartment could be better equipped. We stayed for 11 nights and missed having a clothes drying rack, a functional iron, and a mop for floor cleaning. Also, on hot days, the apartment gets warm, especially during the day. Since we left in the morning and returned in the evening, we didn't feel it, but if you spend an afternoon in it, it can be bothersome

A spacious apartment in a good location

Pros: The apartment has a lovely view of the harbour and over Funchal. Its terrace is big and the bed is very comfortable. Facilities in the kitchen are good, too, including a great oven and washing machine.

Cons: A slightly larger sofa would be good. Also, the terrace doesn’t have furniture as shown in the pictures. It would have been nice to have sun loungers and more comfortable places to sit, including a canopy/umbrella.

Pros: The apartment is very clean and comfortable, located near Funchal old centre. It looks like in the pictures and the sundeck is perfect for early breakfast or drinks in the evening. We arrived very late at night but the host met us and showed us around the flat. He was very nice and responsive

Cons: Temperatures were quite high when we were there and even with the windows open at night, it was a bit too warm for sleeping. An A/C unit would have made a huge difference. But this depends on personal preference so this might not be an issue for others. The parking spot is tight, so I hope you’re a good driver :))

Perfect stay in Funchal

Pros: The apartment is super modern, we had everything we needed and really enjoyed our evenings on the balcony!

Our stay at Berna Apartment was amazing. We are hoping to stay their next time we come to Funchal!

Pros: We loved how spacious the property was and that it came fully furnished with everything you could possibly need. We even had access to a washing machine and oven! Duarte was very helpful and friendly.

Pros: The appartment is very nice. You have there all what you need. If you come with a car, there is a garage in a house. Appartment is on a 6 floor with lift. Has a big terasse with a sea view. Near is a small shop near the pump station. To the town you have walk 15-20minutes.. as on Madeira hills ..up and down. I think the location is very good point for trips on Madeira.🙂

Cons: When is not windy can you on the street feel the dust of cars.
